It was the end of the day, after soccer tryouts. We couldn't really talk during them. I met up with Madi and her brother, Jacob, in the parking lot. " I know you're lying," she said in Spanish, so no one could understand us. " About what?" I asked, she knew I knew what she was talking about, Brady and me. " You and your 'boyfriend'" she said, " I'm only telling you because I can't keep a secret without telling at least one person, it's a lie, it's so that the girls at school leave him alone and I get whatever I ask of him, food, money, drives you name it", Madi looked at me satisfied. " Yeah, yeah whatever, I'm always right," she said as she took the aux. We got in the car right when Jacob showed up.

Brady called me on snap, and it showed up in my car. " He still doesn't have your number?" Jacob asked, " Shut up! He does as a matter of fact he just likes snap calls better" Madi said as she handed me my phone as she got out. Good thing I stopped at their house, I waved bye and I answered and took it off speaker.

I drove to my house, my mom wouldn't be home till 9:00 am tomorrow so I didn't have to ask if Brady could come over. My house stayed clean, so I didn't have to worry about that, it's just that it's going to be awkward having him over. I just got to know Connor, and my guy friends tend to leave. I heard a knock it was Brady, " Sup" he hugged me, but I was stiff, "We're not in front of anybody we don't have to fake it" I said so he would pull away.

 " you're SO kind" he said jokingly. " Just saying and shoes off," I said as I walked, " It's called basic manners Em," he said as took his shoes off panda dunks.

 Em, I like that. " Whatever," I walked to the living room. " Your parents are LOADED Jesus," he said as he looked up. " My mom is a doctor and my dad handles the family business," I said casually. I was well off, well rich it's because I can come from rich families, yes plural. I don't like to brag, unlike most kids like me. 

" So why are you here?" I said it came out ruder than expected. Brady looked hurt, but he was trying not to smile. " Well, we have to make it believable, couples hang out, I told my friends I can't hang out with them because I'm hanging out with you" I looked confused because I was, " Oh my- I can't turn on a movie or something," he said while laughing to himself. 

" You can turn on a movie I homework," I walked upstairs to my room, " IT'S THE FIRST DAY" Brady yelled after me. " I'm in calc," I said after and I shut my door. I Facetimed Momo, ( Momona) and told her about Brady and me. " YOU'RE GOING TO LARA JEAN AND PETER KAVINSKEYS MINUS THE TOXIC PART!!" ever since Momo and I have been friends we've loved To All The Boys series by Jenny Han. And when Momo got a part in it we went wild. We've always wanted a story like them, and now I guess I had mine. 

But Brady and I would never date. I laughed, " Sure, yeah, he better not have a Gen though", We said over goodbyes and did our wave. I looked in my backpack and got my homework out. I went back downstairs, Brady was watching 21 Jumpstreet. "I've seen that on TikTok is it good?" I asked, Brady turned and looked at me like I killed a baby in front of him, " YOU'VE NEVER WATCHED 21 JUMPSTREET?" he yelled, I shook my head no. " Ok, no girlfriend be a weirdo and not of watched 21 Jumpstreet."He patted for the seat next to his and I sat down as he reset it. He wrapped his arm around me, it's fine Lilia chill it's just an arm. We finished it at 4:35 because Brady and I had to keep pausing it. 

" That was so! Good!" I said, " I know! That's why I was like how you have not watched it?" I laughed. " You want me to doordash something?" I asked, Brady picked up his phone. " Oh shoot, my mom is having this dinner I was supposed to be there 5 minutes ago!" He said as he got up. " I'm I gotta go, Bye Em!" I don't think I've seen someone put on their shoes that fast, but I guess I have now. " Bye..." I said to the door.
