Quick short fluff for now, I am speedrunning work rn

Atticus was waiting for his little brother to come out of the building, seeing all the other little kids skip and run to their other parents. He just sat down in the lobby, having to check out his little brother with the sign up sheet before the lady that handed him the clipboard also handed him her phone number with a small giggle.

He blinked a few times before just shaking it off, she didn't seem that old, looked like someone's daughter in fact than an actual parent and seemed to be not exactly dressed down. Wait - she looked familiar actually - where has he seen her before? Just as he was pondering the thought, his attention was brought on seeing his brother yell his name from across the hallway, waving frantically like he was signaling for help or he had an ant crawling under his arm.

He immediately started running like a mad man, everyone having to get out of his way immediately or be in doom of getting pushed. Not even teachers were excused from this crazy kid running towards his older brother.

"ATTICUSSSSSSSS AHHHHHH!!!"

Atticus just gently got up, stretching his limbs out slightly, getting ready for his younger brother to jump which he in fact did. A little too far though which Atticus had to get on his knees quickly to catch him, hugging him gently, holding his younger brother tightly so he didn't fall from his arms. "Well hello to you too Alfie" a small chuckle escapes his mouth, putting on a small gentle loving smile towards his younger brother that was looking at him with starry eyes.

"I had so much fun today! We had career day and got to touch different animals and then - Oh look time to leave let's go!"

Atticus knew his brother was all over the place, everyone gave them either weird looks or perttified faces from getting pushed, more so Alfie's yelling. Atticus looked up to see Alfie's elementary school private teacher he had on the side, that would help Alfie get on the right track, gave him extra tools and lessons due to his medical conditions and forgetting a lot of things. She would also help him with his speech as well as his forgetfulness, then his attention span too. She always gave him small reports of how Alfie is doing on a daily. Some were bad and some were good depending on Alfie's moods at times and how the kids are treating him. At times he would have to march up to the school building to give some of these unruly kids' parents a piece of his mind for letting their kids treat Alfie like that.

Atticus got up slowly, having Alfie hold onto him for dear life. "Stop trying to choke me -" he said, having Alfie hold him differently before he gets choked to death and pass out from Alfie. God this kid has a strong grip, it scares even him at times. Now Alfie was holding onto his older brother like a koala would do to a tree, he refused to let go, resting his head on top of Atticus's shoulder while staring at his teacher approaching them.

"Hello, Atticus as you would like me to call you. Your brother has been doing an excellent job lately, his speech has improved and even stuttering problem as well. He still forgets a multitude of items and people on a daily so we will keep working on it."

"Well thank you Dr. Lindsey, I am glad he didn't give you any problems and - "

Atticus was cut off by Alfie just randomly putting the middle finger up at someone which his eyes widened at this. Alfie was always known to do - extreme random things on a daily and say some weird things as well but people thought it was just his mental condition talking is all. "Put it down! Put it down!" He yelled slightly ticked off, gently yet firmly grabbing Alfie's hand putting his hand down quickly. "I am so sorry about this, thank you for this but we will be leaving now."
