Beep. Beep. Beep.
"She has a severe concussion from where the air bag hit her and the cells in her brain are severely damaged."
Where am I?
"Her left leg is broken from where the dash board came down on it. She's lucky she didn't break both of her legs."
Wait, who am I?
"She had to have immediate surgery to stop the internal bleeding from a good sized tear in an artery in her abdomen."
Am I dead?
"Oh my god. How did this happen?"
Another voice. But I can't open my eyes. It's like they're glued shut. I can't talk. Not even to find out where I am. My voice doesn't work either.
"I was just talking to her on the phone and then I heard this crash like to cars colliding and then the call was disconnected."
There are quiet sobs coming from the right. They seemed so familiar yet so strange. Who is she?
"She'll have to be kept here even after she wakes up for many tests."
It seems the person to my right is a woman. I feel like I know her but I can't quite remember why. Should I know her?
"When will she be awake?" It was the woman that spoke this time.
Her voice felt like it was a part of me. I can't seem to figure out why, but I know now that I know this person. How do I know her?
"We don't know yet. We're still trying to figure out what's going on in in her head. I'm really not sure if she'll wake up. Mrs. Greene, I'm sorry to tell you this but she's in a coma."
Wait a minute. Greene is my last name. Could this woman be my mother? Oh, I remember now. I can see her chocolate brown hair. Her blue-green eyes. Why are we here?
"Your daughter is in critical condition because of it and we don't know when she'll wake up."
Am I dying?
"She's not going to die but like I said we don't know when she's going to wake up. She's lucky she was on the phone with Adam when this happened. We're also lucky that he managed to find her somehow in time to call an ambulance. She was hit head on by a tractor trailer and the dash board collapsed on her legs and the air bag caused some severe damage to her head. She was also jerked around from the impact, which is what caused the internal bleeding."
Wait. Who is Adam?

Author's note:
So here's the second chapter. I apologize for it being so short but it's just the way I decided to write it to go along with the story line. I didn't want her to wake up just yet but don't worry it'll come. But I hope you guys like it. Let me know what you think.
