2 boys 1 school

a dreaded school day (1)

It was like any other day at the start being disturbed from a peaceful dream wasn't always the best feeling in the world hearing the loud chattering of his parents downstairs Joel sighed and pulled back the covers of his bed stepping onto the cold wooden floor heading over to where his uniform had been folded neatly on a chair he glanced at his monitor 7:12 Joel hurriedly started getting dressed removing his pajama top and doing up his school shirt them pajama bottoms putting on some boxers then school trousers then doing his tie it had been much easier now the school made clip on ties saves much more time Joel exits his room and heads into the bathroom grabbing his toothbrush and running the water grabbing a tube of colgate and squeezing it onto the toothbrush running it under the water then bringing it to his mouth as he brushes a bit of toothpaste dribbles down his face he quickly wipes it with his hand to prevent it from falling onto his uniform then he spits in the sink turns the tap off puts his toothbrush back and wipes his mouth he grabs a hair brush and starts doing his hair brushing it the hair glides smoothly over the brush thanks to the new conditioner he had started using Joel puts the brush back where it belongs to be met with a yell from his parents "Joel breakfast is ready come down quick!" Joel hurries down stairs to see the table set with a bowl of cereal and milk in the bowl with a spoon the cereal was cheerios his parents had always been a bit of a health freak Joel quickly starts putting bite after bite into his mouth before hurriedly putting the bowl next to the sink and running to put his shoes on tying the laces he takes one last glance into the mirror before hurrying outside his friend amelia had been waiting outside her arms folded her hair blowing in the wind slightly (slightly was a understatement) "oh hey amelia you weren't waiting for to long right" ameila shakes her head and replys "oh no not that long just 15 minutes" Joel quickly glances away and avoid eye contact before motioning her to follow him to which ameila does soon they arrive into school hearing the loud chattering of students so happy some look groggy and tired clearly not happy to be in school but hey who is in reality the teacher moves out the way and let's the 2 students walk up the stairs Joel almost tripping on the way up stepping into the Hardwick corridor room h12 h13 h14 h21 there it is Joel and ameila step in to be meeted by Mr Rogers smiling at them he had always been a little dull Mr Rogers was liked by some and hated by others he's not bad bad or strict but some people don't like him for some reason it's kind of strange Joel pulls out his chair and sits down glancing around the room Bobby Alfie the other Alfie ella huh her chair is empty she is never here till second tutor Mr Rogers takes the register then gets on with reading the book theif "I have attended all the world's worst disasters, and worked for the greatest of villains. And I've seen the greatest wonders. But it's still like I said it was no one lives forever. Death When I finally came for Liesel, I took selfish pleasure in the knowledge that she had lived her ninety years so wisely" (if you like ww2 books I recommend reading the book theif) Mr Rogers turned to the bored faces of his tutor before speaking up "right how many years did liesel live before death finally got her Joel?" Joel looks up with a tired look on his face "90?" Mr Rogers nods before motioning everybody to stand up behind there chairs (Oh yes for thoughs inside the head I will be putting a little thing like this * and for speech I put " if anybody didn't get that sorry for not saying it at the start) *geography just great Mr dodson loves to scream his head off at the class but at least I will still see Jacob right* Joel can feel his cheeks heat up a bit thinking about the tall boy but he quickly shakes his head *no no no I can't think of my best friend like this* Joel walks up the stairwell of Hardwick he lost ameila among the crowd of students trying to reach where there going a shame he wouldn't mind talking to her Joel walks into Newstead and head to N11 and lines up he sees Jacob talking to some other boys Joel trys to overhear what there talking about but Jacob catches Joel's eye for a second what causes the much shorter boy to glance away before sir ushers them into the classroom everybody takes there seats as a Cameron hands out the geography books joking with everyone Joel notices that Jacob sat with phobie (I probably didn't get her name right I'm sorry I'll correct it if I remember how to spell it) *that's weird Jacob normally sits next to me why isn't he mabye he just wanted to speak to her yeah mabye that's it* Joel looks beside him to see Emily as he opens his book writting down Tuesday 23rd of January then writting down the title rainforest he skips the do it now does anybody try doing it the lesson passes Joel didn't even attempt focusing or messing around he just kept looking at Jacob and phobie sir didn't let them leave yet even though the lesson ended to be met with a lot of protests from the class before letting them go to pshe Joel finally gets to sit next to Jacob in pshe "hey Jacob why didn't you sit with me in geography?" Jacob looks at Joel while setting his bag and book down "oh I just wanted to sit next to phobie she's really nice you know" Joel can feel something stab his heart but he dosent know what it is meant to be why does he feel this way isn't this wrong..? "Oh thats fine don't start hanging out with her instead of me you free after school I was thinking we cou-" Joel is cut of by Jacob "sorry I have a detention an hour" Joel sighs "oh that's fine what did you do this time?" Jacob smiles and answers back "I got matrix for being to disruptive miss Hates me it's a joke I swear" Joel nods "this school is shit anyway I mean teachers don't even care they can't even do good things" Joel and Jacob are both hushed by the teacher telling them to open there books and get the date and title down and do the do it now or she will give them a detention Joel's eyes trace to look out the window the cars going by the trees it's not fair the people outside get such peace and don't have to be crammed into a building learning pointless things and people outside don't have to pretend Jacob swings on his chair then there's a crash Jacob fell back hitting his head on the floor hearing the giggles of the class joel wants to move to help him but he just froze the class eventually stops laughing and Jacob gets up rubbing the back of his head "ow that hurt" Jacob lifts his chair back up "don't swing on your chair then moron" Jacob goes to give Joel a snarky reply back but he is told to go to matrix by the teacher Jacob glares at the teacher and says one thing to Joel "ill get you back for that" Jacob grabs his bag and leaves the room leaving Joel all alone the rest of the room fades out what could of Jacob meant by that? Part of Joel was hopping it was something more Joel snaps out of his thoughs he can't think about his friend that way it's like he has feelings or something Joel shakes his head and the lessons ends break time Joel sees Jacob talking to phoebe (I remember the spelling yay) and he walks over but he stops as he hears the conversation "hey Jacob don't you think Joel is weird I'm way better then him" Jacob nods and speaks up "well hes not terrible but I think he could be better" jealousy almost floods Joel's entire body it took every muscle in his body to not deck phoebe he turns around and walks off turning the corner only for his wrist to be grabbed and met with Jacob smiling "hey where are you going wanna go on the mugger with me and phoebe" Joel dosent say anything and trys to wiggle his wrist out of Jacobs grip had Jacob always had this grip stengh Jacob let's go and laughs "come on" Joel follows and before he knows it the whistle blows he heads upstairs not following the one way system but who cares the system is pointless anyway Joel walks into tutor to see the stares from the other students sitting down listening to Mr Rogers ramble on about behavior points next lesson Spanish what means more time of pointless endless ranting Mr Rogers sends everybody out to there next lesson but Joel catches Ella's eyes her eyes are kind when she looks at him but there dull and grow slightly sad when she hears Alfie screaming down the hallway with Rihanna ella walks out leaving Joel to an hour of Spanish Mr Rogers says its a pop quiz great just great *a pop quiz I hate Spanish so much I just want to go home I want to go home mabye I'll fake sick* soon Spanish ends Joel didn't even touch his book what grew a stern and slightly concerned look from me Rogers "detention" Joel just nods before leaving now physical education the boy heads down the stairs into the boys changing rooms to see Jacob getting changed for me shirtless Joel's eyes linger for then there meant to what Jacob senses and glances at the shorter boy "you alright there is there a cut on me or somethin?" Joel shakes his head and gets changed into his pe kit miss leads them outside there playing dogeball Joel and Jacob get split into 2 separate teams red and blue as the 2 boys stand against each other all friendship Jacob had with him vanishes well for Jacob Joel can't help but try to be competitive the shorter boy feels slightly light headed stumbling back then a ball hits him in the face Jacob threw it Joel falls back giggles from other students can be heard and the teacher walks over to check up on the boy "are you okay down there it's not nap time you know!?" Joel stares back at the teacher before getting up oh its on the boy grabs a dogeball and launches it with all the strength his small frame can muster what is a lot it almost hits Jacob but he moves out the way and it hits a girl square in the chest *owch dam that must suck* jeol prepares to jump out the way of some balls but the teacher blows the whistle oh yeah split lunch Joel watches Jacob rush over to the girl and by odds the girl was phoebe the shorter boy quickly runs away before Jacob can get back at him the boy walks though students a slight glare in his eyes it's lunch only a few hours until peace Joel walks into the bathroom looking into the mirror the urge to punch it grows but that would lead to suspension or isolation probably "dam it why does nothing every go my way I'm so tired it's not fair I want to go home for 5 minutes" Joel's little speech of annoyance is cut of by a knock at the door Joel walks out the bathroom looking around to see who could of done it to see a annoyed looking tall boy the shorter boy dosent make eye contact Jacob sighs "whats wrong with you today your so moody like so what I'm talking to phoebe" Joel looks up "I just didnt sleep much sorry I've been in a mood all moring" Jacob smiles "at this rate I should just knock you out and see how rested you feel then" Joel makes a ooo sound "wow such a bad man what are you going to do pin me against a wall and strip me?" The realisation of what he just said hits Joel like a brick *I said that out loud fuck fuck fuck* Jacob eyebrow raise "if you don't get a grip on yourself mabye I will" Jacob has a slight glare to his eyes and Joel can't meet the taller boys eyes they can't hear a whisle blow again did they spend an entire 30 minutes bickering with each other guess they did they both head back to pe and the dogeball war contuines Jacob side wins and final lesson maths they both head into maths to be met by their books already played down on the tables has the seating plan changed again Joel and Jacob are sitting at the opposite sides of the room Jacob scored a seat next to phoebe and Joel got a seat all alone the rest of the lessons blurs before Joel is walking out the building where his mind stops playing on auto he gets into his mother's car "how was your day?" His mother asks with a smile written all over her face Joel just nods and stares out the window for the entire car ride home he heads upstairs logging onto his computer editing some videos he made then practicing some coding before glancing at the time 5pm already its already pitch black outside and Joel decides to shower he heads into the bathroom locking the door grabbing a towel and hanging it up on the radiator before undressing turning the shower on was the best relief every feeling the hot water bash against his skin it was something finally calming Joel grabs the shampoo putting some into his hair and rubbing it in washing it out now conditioner repeating the same Joel kind of zones out his mind snaps somewhere a dark place Joel steps out the shower wrapping the towel around his waist before putting his pajamas on he lies down and before he knows it he's in a dream land..
