Too late
Lorie Jen Rojo
I.
It was afternoon
at the month of June,
Time for the dance;
the day I await, for it's my chance.
II.
Just then a spot light came through a girl.
So beautiful just like east's pearl.
A stranger to my eye but not to this heart.
yet I know it was her from the start.
III.
She's a pal and a dude,
pain in the ass and look like a boy
All I know she's just like that
till she changed like "what?!"
IV.
And this day...
She changed like month of May
a beauty that was never told
From head to toe you'll surely mold.
V.
A face I always thought of,
Those lips so tender and soft,
I kissed them when she fell asleep.
Brows were tamed and hair with clip.
VI.
I took her hand for a dance
with a sweet sweet song.
I know this is my chance
To tell I have a feeling for her all along.
VII.
But it's too late to say it
when somebody asked me a bit
if he can borrow his girl for a while
It's just so late to try, it's been a mile.
VIII.
If I just told her before,
if I'm not coward to say,
It would never be gone this way
I would never be hurt in this day.
