Darkness engulfed her senses for a moment, nothing else registering in evelyn's mind. billows of shadows seemed to overtake her senses, only regaining them with the realization that she was no longer attempting to attack the bronze haired male and instead in the grasps of bree and florence.
"what the ever loving fuck was that? why am i suddenly back over here when i was trying to remove his head a moment ago!" she tried to rage but ended up curling the two younger vampires behind her— when the scalding glares of the newcomers evelyn didn't began coming her way.
"not that she would like you do it again, though!" florence cut in, causing evelyn to whirl around with a slight look of betrayal and a mutter of 'harsh'.
the taller two of the group seemed amused by the sisters conflict, while the younger two seemed to rather be anywhere else or perhaps putting them under the darkness again. whichever one it happened to be.
"w-which one of you even was it that did that to me?" ignoring the very offended look from the male she was intending to attack, she continued. "the darkness. who just removed all my senses from me?"
the burly man replied to evelyn, which wasn't the most comforting. but considering he wasn't the one to do it to her- she became less hostile "it was alec, the boy on the right."
nodding, evelyn realized the entire group which seemed to now be about a dozen were just staring between herself; and the two girls.
evelyn took a slight step back, with the intent to dash with bree and florence. upon the realization that the cloaked vampires looked ready to bolt after them the moment they attempted it though she hesitated.
"there's no point in running. demetri is a world renowned tracker, and jane will just.. well she'll jane you." the buff man once again spoke, which didn't calm any of the trios nerves.
with the two other vampires still slightly behind her, evelyn could only nod in response. not knowing how to talk to the burly man, she made a hand gesture towards the other coven, and the cloaked figures.
the gesture was pretty much asking if the three girls could just sit by the rocks while their argument commenced, not wanting to be apart of it figuring they'd have their own with the cloaks afterwords.
with a signal like nod from man who was still yet to identify himself— and a scoff from his blonde female companion, Evelyn brashly checked over the girls making sure they were okay.
evidently from the growing look of hunger on bree's face, she was not doing as well as evelyn would have hoped. 'who brings a human to a battle with vampires? an idiot?' the woman asked herself, while trying to to push bree's shoulders down and her back into sitting onto the rock instead of making a snack out of the pale and albeit- already whiny brunette.
now evelyn wouldn't consider herself a weak vampire, but would admit she often depended on her brains and ability to get her through situations. so having a newborn trying to escape towards the human snack-able, across the field, was less than ideal.
"relax yourself, please. we can not lose another sister today." evelyn didn't know if trying to placate the girl would be successful, or was even a good idea in the moment but she didn't have much to lose.
as the other covens conversation began to come to a close, with the human girl and the bronze haired male beginning to walk away evelyn spoke up again. "victoria, did you.." she trailed off not wanting to say the words. she knew there was a good chance victoria was decapitated and burning up on the mountain range somewhere.
"yes." it was the human that answered, not the male vampire who looked as if he wanted the human anywhere but around the newborn. it was almost like he could read their thoughts to evelyn, so when he shook his head and chuckled it disturbed her quite a bit more.
while the bronze haired vampire refused to make eye contact with the sisters, it further revealed their doubts of the pairs story. fidgety, and breathing harshly, it didn't seem like the human girl was trying to blend in well with their story. atleast not trying well in evelyn's opinion.
"well.. we will just be on our way than, as we didn't attack you.." evelyn tried to say, wanting florence and bree out of the situation with the odd golden eyed vampires, and the cloaked ones as soon as possible.
"no, you'll be coming with us. a new-born, and two vampires we hardly knew of? our leaders will want to see to it that you're taken care of adequately." the blonde girl spoke up this time, finally making eye contact with a fierce look almost daring them to disagree.
sharing a look, the two sisters had no choice but to agree hoping they'd be pardoned along with their new friend. the moment they got out of wherever this group was taking them, evelyn would be forced to find a tracker to help them retrace their steps back to this clearing.
it's not like they were easy to come across, usually hidden by their covens or doing their own thing with no intent to help anyone else unless given something in return. with a sigh, evelyn realized it was her decision to make now that she was technically the oldest.
"i suppose we will come.. but don't touch them." evelyn only gazed at felix while speaking, who she hadn't known the name of yet due to the uncertainty she felt with the other three. realizing the younger two of the group didn't appreciate her demanding tone, the redhead reluctantly added a "please."
