The drenching figure of evelyn was ticked off, quite peeved with her drenched clothes sticking to her figure as it glides out of the body of water, the cape trailing behind her now instead of flowing.

"absolutely impeccable. victoria knows how much these capes mean to me.. this feels like a personal attack, florence." is what the oldest automatically assumed while she tried to ring out the cloth as they continued to move in what evelyn assumed riley called a 'threatening manner', but really.. they looked like a bunch of villagers who were on their way to see the next public execution.

the branches from trees, and dirted mulch from the forest ground didn't help the case as it stuck to the now tattered cloth; dragging and sullying it to almost rags. "if someone else doesn't get to riley.. he's mine. specifically for this." evelyn uttered into the younger vampires ears, quiet enough that the others wouldn't hear over the crunching of leaves and rambling of other vampires.

in her mind, evelyn still couldn't wrap her thoughts around what they were walking into. she'd avoided her own death before, but there's only so many times even a vampire can outrun the grim-reaper before he comes back around for you.

the chances were quite high that the coven that victoria wanted to destroy, wouldn't just lay down on their side and take it. knowing that they made up of mostly what were considered 'gifted' vampires, didn't help calm evelyn's nerves in the slightest- if anything it elevated them.

the wind howled in the ears of the group, something not uncommon for the spring day. when the scents began to change in the air— mixing with unknown elements and a wet dog scent that made almost all of them rear back in disgust.

with a shared look of horror, evelyn and florence began to almost twitch at the stench, it was too similar to scent of death that came with the children of the moon. it was officially confirmed — they had absolutely zero clue what they were walking into.

seeing a clearing coming into view, and riley disappearing from their vision evelyn began to slowly attempt to direct the girls towards the edge of the clearing.  the shadows where they would atleast have a possible chance of escape if the other coven targeted them, after the others were killed.

slipping into the background of the group, made it easier to disappear from the ranks all together and into the shadows of the trees the moment they arrived at the clearing which was optimal— and thankfully workable for evelyn to do.

there were wolves, giant ones that she had never come across before. children of the moon only shifted during the night, and during the full moons so whatever these creatures were that were detaching heads from shoulders like it was nothing — was nothing less than greatly concerning.

members from both sides glided across the battlefield, dragging themselves underneath  swinging limbs and leaping over thrown bodies of their comrades. smoke began to bellow in the air, wafting into their senses as it began increasingly clear which side was winning.

eyes snapping around the grounds, trying desperately to keep up with the blurred figures. in the heightened frenzy it's nearly impossible to avoid the creature that finally sets its sights onto the trio, hurling towards them in a last attempt effort to take out remaining newborns.

all but tossing the two younger girls into a boulder that cracked underneath them, evelyn was left to leap over the mocha coloured wolf.

as the wolves jaws snapped towards evelyn, trying to detach her head from her body she had no choice but to wrap her arms around the wolf, effectively breaking it's ribs and collapsing its lung.

the pained whimper leaving the creature as she dropped it to the ground; as she made the mistake of turning her back towards the enemies, when she attempted to dart towards the two girls huddled against the boulder.

getting side swept into the boulder herself by another mutt, was not on her agenda and evelyn was bound to be less forgiving if it wasn't for the fact florence and bree would have been witnesses.

snarling between the wolves who weren't helping the injured one, and curses flying out of the older vampires mouth alerted the other coven who had been previously taking care of burning the girls past 'comrades'.

"we don't want a fight, please just let us be on our way. we didn't even know what we were getting into." evelyn decided to speak up, hoping that a diplomatic approach would work with whoever the coven leader seemed to be — even though they were conspiring with giant dogs which was probably against the law. it wasn't like it was her business or problem.

it seemed to almost be working, a blonde man stepping forward with his mouth open to speak. before he could though a bronze haired male came bounding out of the tree line, with a brunette girl in tow raving at what he called his 'father' to evelyn's shock, considering their looked to be possibly ten years difference between them in age.

"those two are victoria's sisters! why should we believe they don't want a fight? they could choose to avenge their sister at any moment!" the wind that was once whipping in her ears became silent, it was if time had stopped for evelyn.

not again. she couldn't have lost another sister, to her own cowardice. anne-marie was lost, long ago with the rest of their original coven- and now she's failed victoria aswell.

in the haze of grief all it took was six steps to avenge her sister- or atleast that's what she attempted while launching herself at the cullen with the intent of maiming. though as new players arrived to the party in the midst of the tumble, a dark mist was drifting towards the angry vampire.
