Hannah and I were never close, I guess you could blame the age gap and the fact that she moved away when I was twelve for that, but we had kept in touch through the miracle that is the internet and mobile phones. I could go to her for advice if I needed to, and I did a few times throughout my teenage years, but mostly I just figured things out on my own. I kind of learnt to fend for myself since our Mum was working an office job and wouldn't get home until well after I'd arrived home from school. I didn't mind though, I kind of got used to being independent and I didn't mind being alone.

When Hannah started dating Oli, I saw a lot more of her because she would come up to Rotherham for a few days every week and base herself from home; going out at night with Oli, sometimes staying at his place or whatever... but I'd still see her. She was really into makeup and fashion; alternative, gothic kind of stuff and of course, tattooing as well. She did some modelling and even made the cover of a magazine once - my Mum has it framed, of course. She didn't really do that so much anymore, but she would do live streams and have hundreds of people watching them, while I was just studying on my own for my final exams in school. Even if I wasn't, I'd probably just be playing video games in the dark or something. We weren't into the same things at all and we really didn't have much in common, you'd probably question if we were even sisters if you met us, but I knew deep down, we did love each other. My mum loved us too, but as mentioned, I always knew Hannah was her favourite.

Oli was about to start touring the country with his band in the winter and for the first time, Hannah was going on the entire two-week tour with him. I had just finished high school and was trying to decide what I wanted to do with my life, so she invited me along; kind of as a birthday gift since I was just days away from turning eighteen. I had never been away on my own; away from my mum other than on school trips, and I had only been to one concert in my entire life. It was one of Bring Me The Horizon's concerts, when they played a venue ten minutes from our house. Their music wasn't my thing, but I would never forget how much energy was in the room. I'd never experienced anything like it! I was only seventeen at the time and my Mum came too, so I had to go home with her after the show while Hannah went off with the band to party. It was going to be different on the tour seeing as I would be eighteen though... I would be able to go out with them after shows and I was excited to get a glimpse into the amazing life my sister got to live every day as the girlfriend of a rock star.

I had recently got my driver's license, so I drove to Oli's place the morning that we were heading off on the tour and I dragged my suitcase inside, full of excited nervousness. Being away from home for two weeks and seeing so many places was really exciting, but I was still slightly nervous about being around the band. They were all so cool and I was, well... just me. Oli was nice to me, but he was dating my sister so he kind of had to be. The others? I had barely even spoken to them before.
"Hey Hails. Ready to experience the life of a rock star?" Oli asked as he gave me a quick greeting hug by the door.
"I'm so excited!" I squealed as I dragged my suitcase into the lounge. He just laughed at me.
"I hope you packed some better clothes." Hannah said as she looked up at me from her phone, silently judging my denim jeans and red and white stripe t-shirt combo.
"At least we won't lose her in a sea of black band shirts." Oli said before I could reply.

Our first stop on the tour was Manchester; just over a one-hour drive from Sheffield. We stayed at a nice hotel and I had my own room, plus I didn't ever have to pay for my own food which was awesome. I had met the other guys in the band before; backstage at their concert, but I'd never really spoken to them and nothing seemed like it was going to change. They weren't very interested in me, but I didn't blame them. They probably wondered why there was an awkward teenager on the tour with them.

We were backstage at the concert venue all afternoon and to tell you the truth, I was getting a bit bored. Everyone just kind of sat around wasting time, including me, though I did use some of my energy avoiding the camera man who followed the guys around taking photos of everything. Hannah wasn't a whole lot better, taking just as many pictures and recording multiple takes of videos for social media; bragging about how she was on tour with her boyfriend. I guess it was the band's first show in a while, but it was crazy how they always had cameras in their faces. I wondered if it was normal and if it would be like that at every show.
"Babe, do you wanna come up to the roof with me for the sunset? A friend told me you can sneak up there." I overheard Oli asking Hannah. I watched their interactions like a weird stalker, I always did because I was jealous of the way Oli doted on my sister. It wasn't because of who he was, or because it were him specifically, it was just because I wished someone was that interested in me. I guess I'd never really seen love like they had, but I couldn't really imagine anyone ever being that way with me.
"I'm doing a live feed in twenty minutes... maybe later?" Hannah replied without even looking up at Oli from her phone. That seemed pretty rude to me. I mean, I knew my sister had a presence to uphold with her socials, but surely she could have given him ten minutes? It was the first show of the tour and everything.
"It's alright, I can go on my own." he said as he went to leave.
"I'll come with you." I blurted out without really thinking. Oli looked at me like he was surprised but shrugged. "OK, let's go." he replied.
