Author's POV

Rudra leaned out of the car window, as he tried to see why the road was blocked.

Rudra steps out of the car when he notices she hasn't moved from the road, even after honking. His gaze fell upon her standing stubbornly in the middle of the road, her foot tangled in a mess of wire. She bleated softly, unable to free herself.

With a sigh, Rudra knelt beside her, carefully untangling the wire from her leg. Once freed, he gently scooped her up into his arms, cradling her as if she were weightless. He carried her over to the side of the road, placing her next to another goat, likely her companion.

Meanwhile, at the temple, Sumitra sat down in shock.

Kalyani voice trembled with disbelief. "Tum... tum yahan kya kar rahi ho? Bolo, Sara."

(You... what are you doing here? Tell me, Sara.)

Sara took a deep breath, her voice shaky. "Voh... mein Abhimanyu se pyaar karti hoon."

(I love Abhimanyu.)

Kalyani eyes widened in anger. "Pyaar karti ho toh tum aisa karogi? Kisi aur ladki ki jagah mandap mein bethi ho?"

(If you are in love then will you do this? Would you be sitting in the mandap instead of some other girl?)

Sachi, staring at the bride's dress, realized it was her daughter Sara. She glared at her in disbelief.

Before anyone could intervene, Sachi stormed forward, her fury boiling over. "How could you?" she shouted, her hand swiftly connecting with Sara's cheek, the sound of the slap echoing through the temple.

Sara stumbled back, clutching her stinging cheek, tears streaming down her face. She dared not meet her mother's furious gaze.

"Sharam nahin aati tumhe yeh ghinoni harkat karte huye? Haan?" Sachi's voice rose. Her outburst made Sara flinch as she turned helplessly toward Abhimanyu. But Abhimanyu looked away, his jaw clenched in silent frustration.
