"hey, the food is ready" Layla came out from the kitchen with a proud smile holding two plates of pancakes she sat near her as Airen happily took one of the plates from her and was about to eat

"Heyy! First, go and wash your hands!"

"See, my hands aren't dirty"

"Still, go and wash your hands first" She got up from the couch went to the washroom and came back immediately attacking the food plate within minutes she finished her whole meal and looked at Layla

"What are you staring at? Huh?" Layla said hiding her food tray behind her

"Chill bro, I am full" She yawned and went to her room as Layla took another bite from her plate

As she finished eating she took both plates put them on the sink and went to Aiden's room

"Airen, where am I supposed to sleep?"

"Do you have any problem sharing a room with me?"

"Sharing a room with you? Hell NOO! You sleep like a giant dinosaur"

"Then you can sleep in my mom's room"

"No that room is big compared to others and I am not used to it"

"Sleep wherever you want, my house is big enough for two people"

"Yeah, I can't sleep like this" Airen got up took her pillow and went to the living room

"I can sleep anywhere, you take my room"

"No, I can't sleep like that"

"What's your problem, Layla? If you didn't want to come here, you could have said no"

"But-"

"Just gooooooo!" She pushed her inside the room and closed the room, lying on the couch she covered herself with a light duvet "Good night"
She drifted into her dreamland

She was running holding someone's hand they don't know where, but they were just running, the place was forest, their faces etched with terror, sprinted desperately hand in hand.

The suddenfallingn of trees and thundersentd shivers down their spine, the little girl's last hope was the guy who was holding her handonn this stormy haunted night. But her hope vanished as the boy stumbled and got injured his knees were bleeding badly, she kneeled and held him carefully

"Are you fine?" The girl said
"I am fine" She heard

The boy got up, and even though he was injured, he tried his best to get out of this maze

"You shouldn't have come here"

"But you needed my help-" Before he could finish he lost his balance and fell the girl helped him to get up

"Please, don't tryna act like you are brave"

"But I am brave, I am not a little boy anymore," He said as she looked at him with teary eyes

"Are we gonna die?" She said looking down and shivering badly, her face was bruised up and her dress was dirty

"No, don't worry, everything is gonna be alright," He said smiling.

"How can you say that?"

"Cause I believe"

"We are still kids, we can never escape," she said as a drop of tear fell from her cheek

"Look, don't cry, we both are in huge trouble but don't worry, stay strong" he cupped her face with his little hands until she calmed down.
They again started to walk out of the forest, in search of some hope, it was almost night but luckily they hadn't faced any wild animals, at least not yet.
