3RD PERSON POV:
A young man in his early twenties walked down the familiar paths of a nearby park. He had just finished a stressful day at his company, Ayanokoji Pharmaceuticals, the leading medicine producer in all of Japan. He often came to these woods to relax and unwind, as he had never had the chance to experience anything like this as a child.
Today, however, Ayanokoji felt as though he was being watched. As he walked casually, not to let his mysterious assailant know that he was on to them, this mystery person swiftly ran and attempted to pickpocket him. Ayanokoji glared at the mugger with a look that would cause anyone to cower. He was surprised. The person who had been following him was a young girl, approximately five years old. He had no idea how she managed to move with such speed, as she could have easily outrun some of the athletes at ANHS.
Startled by Ayanokoji's cold stare, the girl recoiled, her short, malnourished frame trembling. Her black hair was unkempt, and her hazel-brown eyes which almost looked like gold in the dark were wide with fear. Ayanokoji's eyes softened and asked the girl a question.
"What were you trying to take?"
"I-I was hungry" That's all the girl offered as an explanation.
"Do you have any family around?" Ayanokoji had asked this question mostly as a formality, as he already had a good idea of what the answer would be.
"No... I'm all alone." She spoke cautiously not trusting the strange man in front of her.
Ayanokoji crouched down, lowering himself to be on level with the girl. "What is your name?"
"Reiko," She said curtly
"Ok then, Reiko would you mind if I got you something to eat?"
"Huh, you would do that?" The girl's face flashed with hope. Her mind told her that following a strange man she had just met was a very bad idea, but sometimes the stomach was stronger than the mind. She needed to eat something.
Ayanokoji turned around signaling her to follow and she obeyed and they walked back in silence. If he were just a few years younger he wouldn't bother helping the girl but a lot changed for him after he left ANHS. His father, with his myriad of enemies, was assassinated by a political rival, which led to the stalling and eventual cancellation of the White Room Project. Having severed the ties to his past, Ayanokoji established his company and began providing affordable medicine throughout the country. He did not do this out of a sense of morality, but rather to make an impact on the world, much like his good friend Horikita Manabu does as a defense attorney.
Ayanokoji noticed that Reiko had slowed down. She was far more fatigued than she let on. Her Initial attempt at stealing had used up her already limited energy. Upon seeing this Ayanokoji squatted down once more.
"Get on." Offering to lift her in a piggyback, she complied.
Having determined that she could trust him, Reiko, who had been on her guard the entire time, finally began to relax against Ayanokoji's back.
"Hey, Mr.Monster what are we eating anyway?"
"Mr.Monster?"
"Well, you never told me your name and you're scary like a monster so it's fitting."
"My name is Ayanokoji Kiyotaka."
"Mr.Monster is better."
"No, it's really not." Ayanokoji sighed and dropped the subject. not wishing to descend to the level of arguing with a child. " Curry udon, I have a friend who owns a restaurant. Most stores are closed at this time so it's the best you're going to get."
