3rd person pov

"Ayanokoji-kun, thank you for your assistance. It really helped." beamed the first-year girl.

"No problem it's my job after all."

Exhaling a sigh, Ayanokoji watched the girl leave his office. Today had been another unusually long day at work, just like it had been around May the previous year. For the past two years, Ayanokoji Kiyotaka has been employed as a counselor at the advanced nurturing high school. After the shutdown of the white room, the Kijima Faction, wanting to keep tabs on the masterpiece, placed him under the supervision of Sakayanagi Narumori. Due to the no-contact rule enforced at ANHS, the remaining members of the Ayanokoji Faction were unable to reach him.

Ayanokoji sipped his tea, He savored a steaming cup of hot sakura sencha, a timely treat gifted to him by one of his "Moms." This traditional tea was typically enjoyed earlier in the season, but its delicate floral notes seemed to harmonize perfectly with the current atmosphere, after relaxing for a little while he decided to go to the store and pick up some food for dinner. While at the store he stumbled across one of his co-workers, Mashima Tomonari.

"Hello Ayanokoji, I'm guessing you had a long day?"

"After the bombshell revelation of the S-system, the students require assistance."

Mashima beamed proudly at Ayanokoji, saying, "If anyone can handle that situation, it's you." He was relieved that he had not accepted the counseling job because the poor kid had been occupied the entire day and had even worked two extra hours. This thought crossed Mashima's mind.

In a workplace where Ayanokoji faced general disfavor from his colleagues, Mashima and 2 others stood out as an exception, treating him with the same respect as the adults. Whether it was jealousy or a lack of faith in the teenager's abilities, most other teachers avoided Ayanokoji, leaving him relatively isolated in the workspace.

"Oh by the way Mashima, Sakayanagi didn't visit me today is she ok? The boy asked because her father was a man he had grown to respect so he's curious about his daughter. Sakayanagi frequently visited his office to play a game of chess. To his surprise, she didn't show up today, which struck him as odd.

"Yeah, she had to go to the infirmary for a checkup," replied Mashima.

"That's a shame, when you see her again wish her well for me."

Ayanokoji arrived at his apartment, groceries in hand. To his surprise, neither of his roommates had returned home yet, despite finishing work much earlier than him. So, he figured they'd be home soon, so he started cooking dinner. He does the cooking, not because they can't cook, but because the food they make is unhealthy junk. Approximately ten minutes after the cooking began, Ayanokoji became concerned and tried to contact them. However, when he called one of their phones, it rang in the bedroom, while the other phone appeared to have been deactivated, raising his worries further.

After diligently cooking, Ayanokoji set about preparing his meal. Just as he sat down, the door burst open, revealing a boisterous and inebriated Hoshinomiya Chie, accompanied by a similarly intoxicated but annoyed Chabashira Sae.

In her drunken state, Hoshinomiya stumbled towards Ayanokoji, her words slurred. "Oh, my Kiyotaka," she said, "Don't you look handsome today." In a manner reminiscent of a romantic comedy film, she stumbles and falls into his chest as she attempts to embrace him.

With a tone that hinted at her partial annoyance, Chabashira looked sternly at her and ordered, "Chie, get away from him."

With a chuckle, Hoshinomiya addressed Chabashira, "Jealous, Sae-chan?" Playfully, she pushed her face further into his chest, finding it comfortable.
