I wrote this first fic for my friend Dani because it's her birthday and she's amazing!

Taylor was standing in the shower, helplessly trying to wash off all the stickiness and buttercream after filming the iconic cake scene.

The part where Nick was feeding him cake kept coming back to haunt him. Even though, Taylor knew he shouldn't be thinking about it in the shower. He just couldn't help it. Nick's delicate fingers had brushed against his mouth, which somehow seemed just as intimate as any of the countless kisses they had shared as their characters.

It was just something different about today. They held each other's gaze way too long and Taylor even think he might've licked his hand.

As soon as he had finished showering and dried himself, Taylor pulled on a black t-shirt and stylish sweatpants before heading over to Nick's hotel room. He had to know if he was imagining things, or if there was an actual spark between them. Not just their characters.

"Hey, Nick we need to talk." he said and barged in without knocking, only to find that Nick had just showered too.

"Oh god! I'm sorry. I should've knocked." Taylor said, desperately trying not to stare at Nick when he was wearing nothing but a towel around his waists.

"Am I that hideous?" Nick asked playfully and turned from the mirror to face Taylor, as if he wasn't upset that he had barged in without warning.

"What? No. Of course not. I just should've known you also needed to shower." Taylor said, feeling flustered and more awkward than usual as he stared at the floor.

"Not that it helped. I still smell sugary, don't I?" Nick asked and leaned in way too close, as if to torment Taylor before getting dressed in the usual sweatpants with rainbows and a blue t-shirt.

"You probably taste sugary too." Taylor murmured to himself, but Nick must've heard it because he broke into chuckles.

The warm laugh sent a tingling sensation through Taylor and made him crack up too. "Sorry, I didn't mean to say that out loud." he said to save his skin.

"I think you did," Nick said with a knowing grin as he approached Taylor again. "Isn't that why you're here? For something other than cake?"

For a moment Taylor was rendered speechless by Nick's words. "Are you trying to seduce me?" he asked, once he managed to form words.

"Is it working?" Nick lowered his voice and leaned in until his lips were only a few inches away.

"Hell yeah." Taylor said eagerly and tossed his arms around Nick's broad shoulders to pull him in for a real kiss. This time no one was around to tell them what to do.

As Nick returned the kiss with the same passion and drove a hand into Taylor's curls just like he did as Henry, one thing was for sure. The sparks were real.
