In the cell, Parker, Ryder and another boy who was around the age of nine named Zoe sat in the cell. Zoe was impatient to get out and tried everything to break the lock. Ryder still couldn't believe one of his favorite characters from his favorite show showed his true colors the way Fleegle did. He and Parker stayed at the back of the cell, waiting patiently for Zoe to make some progress.

Just then, a man walked in, panting. Zoe stopped what he was doing and stared at the man. It was Karl.

"Hey!" He called to him, "You gotta let us outta here!"

Karl looked at the boy and spoke in an Australian accent, "I can't."

"Of course you can! Just unlock the gate."

"I tried to tell them that it's wrong, but they wouldn't listen."

Karl had lost two of his fingers on his right hand. He tried to wrap his amputated fingers with a piece of bandage he found. Zoe was rather disgusted by the sight and backed away.

"Something went wrong with my update and they didn't listen to me now. This is all the network's fault. They shouldn't have taken away their show! Then none of this would've happened! This show is all they have."

He groaned painfully as he continued to bandage his hand. Ryder stepped forward up to the chain link gate, trying to reason with Karl.

"You built them, didn't you?"

"Yes."

"You love them, don't you?"

"Yes."

"I love them too. They're my favorite. They make people happy."

"That's why I built them."

Karl smiled knowing someone shared his kind of mindset.

"Now, they're hurting people. We can stop this but you'll have to let us out of here."

Karl slowly turned around to pick the keys off the table and tried to unlock the gate with his left hand, but wasn't getting anywhere.

Karl didn't know that Drooper had entered the room dragging in an injured Bingo until he heard the sound of the animatronic ape's lifeless robotic body hitting the floor. Karl immediately attended to Bingo's aid and dropped the keys. Zoe eventually grabbed the keys himself off the floor just as Drooper paid them a visit.

"Bingo! My precious boy! Who did this to you?"

Drooper slowly strutted his way to the gate with his glowing red eyes and turned to face the children. The glowing red eyes made the animatronic lion look terrifying.

"Hey, kids! Put on your hap-happiest faces, because the Banana Splits Show is about to begin!"

After the animatronic lion delivered his message and strutted out of the room, Zoe got up and unlocked the gate himself. Karl was still maintaining Bingo as Drooper left the room. Karl heard the gate open and grabbed a hold of Parker, making her scream.

"Where do you think you're going?"

Ryder noticed a hot piece of iron and jabbed it in Karl's forehead, making him let go of Parker and scream in pain. Ryder, Zoe, and Parker shoved Karl into the cell, locking him in it and running out of the room.

"You'll never stop them!" He shouted through the gate in his Australian accent, "The show must go on!"
