Chapter 8: Short-term Engagement

Thadd and Poppy were backstage of Fleegle's Magic Shop and Thadd started to livestream again. He had a plan that was certain to leave a memory for both him and Poppy. A memory both of them would never forget, or so he thought.

"What's up, you guys, it's your boy, Thadd! Mr. Thadtastic to all my fans!" He said as he showed Poppy on screen and pointed his phone at her while getting down one knee and pulling out a ring in his pocket, showing it to the camera.

"Babe, I love you so much, and I can't think of a better place than this. Will you marry me?"

Poppy couldn't hold in her excitement and covered her mouth with her hands and accepted the proposal as she hugged Thad and showed her ring on her finger in front of the phone's camera. As Thadd held the phone still, he caught a glimpse of Fleegle in the background, staring at them.

"What the Hell?" Thadd said as he put his phone down and looked back at the footage.

The couple looked behind them and Fleegle's presence was indeed shown to be real.

"Fleegle?" He said as they both walked up to the animatronic beagle.

"We just got engaged!" Poppy said happily as she showed him her ring.

Fleegle wasn't paying attention to her ring as much as Thadd's phone and took it from his hand, much to Thadd's displeasure. He then put it inside a bag and pulled out his magic wand.

"Banana Cadabra!"

The animatronic beagle began to strike the bag with his wand.

"What the Hell, man?!"

"Thadd, relax, I think he's just doing a magic trick!"

Once the animatronic beagle was done, he turned the bag upside down, letting broken pieces of the phone hit the ground.

"What are you doing?" Thadd finally asked, feeling irked enough to ask.

Fleegle then dropped his bag and wand and put his hands on Thadd's shoulders as he forced him into a box that was supposed to be used for magic trick purposes only.

"Poppy, please, let me out!" He begged as Poppy stood there saying his name over and over.

Fleegle then locked the box as he pulled out a large saw. Poppy begged for the animatronic beagle to set him free but only grabbed Poppy so she could help with the gag without stopping him.

Thadd wiggled in the box as Fleegle began to put pressure on the saw, cutting between the gap. Both individuals screamed for mercy as Fleegle began to cut deeper and deeper.

Fleegle gave one last thrust before letting Poppy go and pulling the other half of the box away, revealing Thadd's intestines and other organs, making Poppy scream bloody murder.

"Ta-da!" The animatronic beagle exclaimed as he showed what he'd done.

Fleegle was going to grab Poppy, but Poppy grabbed ahold of him first, ripping off Fleegle's fur, exposing his endoskeleton.

He was going to try again but heard some shuffling near them and Fleegle went to search for what made the noise, leaving behind a broken-hearted Poppy and the corpse of her former ex-fiancé.
