LACY'S POV
I saw the shock on Elle's face when I told her that I had a boyfriend. I didn't want to tell her until I knew that she was slowly getting back on her feet. She was doing so much better. I knew something was going on between Elle and Brandon. I'm just not sure they knew yet. You could tell they really liked each other. I needed to be the friend to push them together. I didn't care if he had a girlfriend. From what I heard she was a bitch. I was going to get them together some way some how. This was a great opportunity.
Here was my plan. Have Josh come over and introduce them. Then we would start watching movies. Then we would lay down on the floor and leave the couch to them, letting them have their closeness. My plan was going to work. I was gonna make things work between them.
"Wait when did you get a boyfriend?"
"Um...2 months ago."
"wow and you didn't tell me? Thanks a lot."
"I wanted to wait until you started doing better."
"That's fine."
I ran into my room and called him. I was really excited. I could hear talking in the other room but I drowned it out and dialed the number I knew all too well.
"Hello?"
"Hey baby. I want you to finally come and meet my friend Elle. Remember me talking about her and I told you I wanted you two to meet one day when she started picking herself back up? Well, I think she's doing better and I'd really love it if you would come meet her."
"I would love to. I'm tired of sneaking around all the time. She seems cool and it'll be a fun night. So what are the plans?"
"It's a movie night. Nothing exciting. But she has her boyfriend over."
"She has a boyfriend?"
"Not yet, but she will soon if I have anything to do with it."
"I'll help. What's the plan?"
I went through the plan with him and we both figured out different things we could do to make the final goal a reality. I explained everything and it was all set. We set up operation love. It was going to be done and it would work. I got off the phone and walked out to the living room with a smile on my face. Brandon smirked.
"Awe.....looks like someone's in love."
"I guess. I'm not quite sure yet."
"Looks like it to me."
"Says someone who's denying their love for their best friend."
They both blushed a bright shade of crimson. I laughed. Step one complete. Now I need to keep doing this.
BRANDON'S POV
I looked at Arielle's blushing face. She was so adorable. Why was I thinking this? She's just my friend. F-R-I-E-N-D I needed to remember it. We watched more of the movie when the doorbell rang.
"It's open!!!!"
A tall guy with black hair walked in.
"Hi i'm Josh. I'm Lacy's boyfriend. you must be Arielle and I don't think Lacy's mentioned you before." He was referring the last part to me.
"I'm Brandon."
"Are you Arielle's boyfriend?"
"What? Oh no. We're just good friends. We've known each other since we were babies."
"Oh okay. So what are we watching?"
He sat down next to Lacy who had moved down to the floor with another blanket. I had to admit they were a cute couple and they seemed like they were crazy about one another. Lacy kissed him acting like they hadn't seen each other in years. Ironic isn't it? I was in my thoughts when Lacy finally answered him.
"We're watching Edward Scissorhands."
"That's an old movie isn't it?"
"Yeah. It's classic!"
I stretched out on the couch and Elle stayed close. She laid her head on my shoulder and my arm went around her. She was practically on my lap and we were under a big blanket. I was really comfortable. It was nice being with my best friend again. The next thing I knew I had the best sleep in my life.
ARIELLE'S POV
I woke up and saw Brandon staring at me. What happened? I hope nothing. Why couldn't I remember? I must of been extremely tired. Brandon woke up and looked at me. He smiled.
"Morning."
"Good morning. I can't believe we fell asleep. I guess we were tired."
"Yeah."
I got up and went into the kitchen to get some water. I turned around and he was there. He scared me shitless. It just so happened that I had a big mouthful of water. I spit it out and he got drenched.
"Good morning to you too."
We both started laughing and Lacy came out looking like one of those troll dolls.
"I was trying to sleep. Why are you two so lo......what the bloody hell happened to you?"
We started laughing again.
"Okay.....y'all are crazy....Keep it down please. I need a couple more hours of sleep."
"Bye Lacy."
"Okay jeez."
She left the kitchen and I heard her door click down the hall.
"She's not a morning person is she?"
"How'd you know?"
"You're so sarcastic."
"I know." I smiled. I couldn't help but smiling when I was around him. Then his phone started ringing. I already knew who it was before he even looked at it. I think he knew too.
"Hi Megan." I could hear screaming on the other side of the line. I felt so bad for him.
"I was hanging out with friends. I already told you that. Okay.....let me ask...."
"Megan wants to know if you want to come to the club with us tonight. I guess she wants to get to know you."
"Sure."
"Okay she said yes. So we'll see you later then. Okay. Yeah. Goodbye."
I looked at him. How are we going to get in? We're not 21.
"I have a guy. He makes legit fake ID's. They look completely real. I'll call him up and have him make you one."
"When are we leaving?"
"In a couple hours."
"How late is it?"
"6 pm."
"Damn we slept in late. I'll go get ready."
Why was Megan being so nice? I didn't understand. She made it clear she didn't like me and now she wanted me at the club? I guess I'd give it a try, but only for Brandon. I had a feeling this night was going to be a disaster.
