Changed the cannon timelines a little just for this to make sense <3

Forks High School was a very small school indeed. The school boasted only 351 students across all of its grades. Everybody knew everybody - they'd all grown up together after all. Judith Harvey had lived in Forks her whole life. She had never left the state of Washington, much like many of her classmates. She supposed she liked the area, and therefore didn't necessarily have a gnawing desperation to leave.

Judith had an affliction that was not hard to come by in a school so small - she was relatively popular, and had herself quite a nice group of friends. She was rather pretty, with elbow-length caramel brown hair. Her face was permanently dotted with light freckles, despite the lack of sun in Forks, and they made her green eyes stand out against the pale skin of her face further. Therefore, she was not a stranger to the attention of many of the boys at school, but none of them quite met what she fancied for herself in a boyfriend. She wanted someone exciting, and having known all of the boys at school since they were in diapers... that just wasn't possible here.

Her parents had owned the diner in the centre of town. Many familiar faces in Forks visited regularly, enjoying the food that was dished up for them whilst she and her mother served. Her father had owned the diner, but wasn't necessarily present in her upbringing. Don't misunderstand me, dear reader, he was a very loving father and had doted on her constantly until he had passed, well before his time. His death had been a mysterious one. He had gone missing. Local police officers believed he had been killed by an animal in the dense woods that surrounded the quaint town. Judith and her mother had been devastated. Still, despite her loss, she enjoyed working at the diner that had been taken over by her father's best friend. She enjoyed meeting new people as they passed through the small town, and loved seeing old friends on an almost weekly basis. She loved Forks.

I think it's also very important to tell you that Judith was also a very intelligent young lady, and enjoyed school - mainly because she was able to see her friends, but also because she loved writing. She constantly carried her small, tatty journal in her bag, writing little notes here and there, or whole passages when the inspiration struck her.

And, my friends, that is exactly where we find ourselves now. In Forks High School, Room 2.7 - Mr Mason's 10th Grade English class. Judith's fingers fiddled with the pen she held in her hands as she attempted to listen to Mr Mason's monotone voice. His obvious desire to be at home made it hard to concentrate on what he was saying as she scrawled random words across the notebook she had open in front of her. She huffed under her breath - how uninspiring can one man be? She wanted to be a writer, not bored to death.

"You look sick to death," her friend Jessica Stanley leaned over to whisper in her ear, giggling as Judith rolled her eyes and pulled a face. Jess looked to the clock and smiled, nudging Judith to look too, "only ten more minutes to summer break!"

Now, she liked the sound of that. A summer with her friends, hanging out at La Push beach, surfing and roasting marshmallows over a campfire. She smiled, "thank god."

The bell rang, echoing around the school, cheers and hollering erupting from all of the teenagers inside. Mr Mason made an attempt to keep everyone at their desks, to complete his lesson but, alas, he was met with closed ears and people's backs as they filed out of the classroom. Jess and Judith joined in, excited to begin their summer of fun - ready to get out of the stuffy classroom.

"What are you gonna wear to go to the beach tonight, Jude?" Jess asked, joining arms with her best friend.

Oh, that's right, I forgot to mention - Judith hates being called, well... Judith. Jude fits her just nicely.
