"Gracie, I just don't get why you're so closed off all of a sudden!"shrieked her to current best friend of 5 years who was practically ripping her hair out at the girls actions "just fucking speak to me gracie!"

Tears welled in gracies eyes as she regained eye contact with the girl. "You really wanna know why I'm a closed off psycho bitch all of a sudden!" She yelled leaning across the kitchen counter as her words echoed towards her 'friend'. Her knuckles going pale from her tense grip on the counter.

"I wouldn't say it like that, but yes, I would like to know why my best fucking friend is so distant all of a sudden." replied Amelie, choking back tears that were begging to be released.

"You know Michael, my boyfriend, well, not anymore." She paused, taking a deep breath,"All he left was a note saying he was going to his exe's place because I wasn't skinny enough and he deserved someone who wasn't a fucking whale!" In a rage, gracie released the kitchen counter and stormed down the hallway to her room of horrors. Every corner was haunted by the memories of Michael, and they only got worse as she approached her very own room.

Amelie quickly followed behind the brunette eyes wide from what news she had just heard. "Gracie -"

"Stop. I don't want your fucking pity. I've been doing fine without it!" She cried, storming her way into her bedroom where she'd try to enclose herself.

"Gracie, just listen!" She screamed, pausing her best friend."I'm gonna say this once, and I promise I won't judge you or push you just . When was the last time you ate..."

September 7th, 2016 (gracie's 17th birthday)

Gracie leaned over, feeling the warmth radiate off the small pink birthday candles that decorated her lavender cake. She quickly blew them out as her birthday song came toan end. Everybody cheered for her, some congratulating her on now being 17, others aka her friends calling her old y'know normal stuff. Her mum started cutting the cake, saying, "Birthday girl gets the first slice," to which she politely declined, saying she didn't want a slice.

"Gracie, come on, it's one slice it won't hurt." she turned to see her best friend amelie saying, which sent a shiver down her spine because she knew she was the only one that knew.

"Amelie, I said I don't want a slice let it go." The pale girl replied, feeling all eyes on her, which she hated. Anxiously biting down on her lip, she looked around her. Just as she suspected, all eyes were on her.

"Jeez, don't get mad at me. It's not my fault you need to look good for your own boyfriend." The shit had hit the fan, and this was not a drill. How could she.

The room went silent, gracies own shallow breathing, filling her ears with her vision narrowing down to just Amelie, her pupils now small specs in the middle of the chocolaty sea that was her eyes. "I don't know what you're talking about," gracie said, letting out an obviously fake chuckle as she spoke.

"Gracie, what does she mean?" My mum said her glazed over eyes fluttering towards me. She clenched her jaw as she spoke, "gracie?" She said, her voice breaking at the thought of what I'd done.

"Mum, I'm sorry," I whispered as tears were filling my eyes and flowing down my cheeks as everyone at the party watched in horror. Amelie had a sick smile on her face the kind phycos had when they killed their first victim, that's who gracie was her first victim. Michael, who gracie had recently gotten back together with, had slipped away with an extremely guilty look on his face when Amelie had first spoken up.

Like Michael, I ran out. I ran through the crowd of shocked faces, out the front door and onto the street. My converse slammed against the ground, each pace sending shockwaves through my body. All I could hear was my own heavy breathing  like it was being amplified directly into her ears. I was a delicate kid from her stomach being empty for months, but i  was still a kid.

After running, she made it to her local small town park, where she situated herself under the playground as nightfall came over the small town they lived in. She thought about what she was planning on, and she couldn't sleep out here, she couldn't go home, all her friends would call her parents. As she was sitting there sobbing into her knees on her chest, a police vehicle surrounded the park, the county sheriff calling out, "we found her!" Into his walkie-talkie before chargeing towards her. I'd been caught, fuck. My pupils are now blown. I turned to run immediately, banging onto another cop that stood behind me.

"The girl is now in captivity," the man spoke into his radio while the woman I ran into harshly handcuffed me on the ground, pinning me down with her foot slammed on my back.

I had given up fighting as i was now following the cops orders. I took the walk of shame to her car, looking over to my mother and Amelie, who had now arrived at the scene. "Im sorry, ma. I promise im still the same woman. I'm still your little girl." I yelled to my mum as my voice broke through my tears. I could see even the cop felt sympathy for me. I wondered if she had someone else in her life who went through something similar.

Amelie ran over to me, crudely sympathising with me while i was catastrophiczing my situation. I couldn't quite make out what she was saying because i was too overcome with emotion and my own thoughts to process anything that rat was saying to try and win me over. All I thought about was her betrayal. She confessed my biggest secret to everyone in my life and now acted like nothing happened. The prom queen has blood on her hands.

How could she think I'd be her friend.

Gracie got shoved into the back of the cops vehicle and moped in the back because of the over the aching feeling arching over her, slowly consuming her mind.
