Chapter Nine: The Next Step

Josh's POV

Over about 20 minutes of Zac explaining the situation and how he is related to Rose. I was a little calmer, but all I really wanted to do was hold her in my arms and tell her everything will be okay, I will be here. Zac was a pretty cool guy and I was happy that he was there to help Rose through everything.

As I made my way over to where she was siting my palms began to sweat and I could feel a lump in my throat. I watched her watch a little girl climbing up the slide and I could see her sigh. I tapped her shoulder

"Zac, I told you I'm fine, I just needed some air." as she turned around she was shocked to see that it wasn't Zac in front of her, it was me.

Rose's POV

"Josh? How did you find me?" I was shocked to see Josh standing in front of me. I quickly looked around to see if anyone else was here, that's when I see Zac walking towards us. I immediately realized that Zac had contacted Josh. I was angry but I knew he was only trying to help.

"Zac Jacobson you are such an asshole. You know that right?"

Zac just smiled and let out a little laugh. Obviously finding my statement amusing. Turning back to Josh, I wasn't really sure what to say.

"Look, I'm sorry." but before I could finish what I was saying , Josh pulled me into a tight hug.

" It's okay" I could hear the relief in his voice. " I don't care what happen, As long as you are safe, that is all I care about. Rose I love you and nothing you say or do is going to change that. I will always, always be here for you. Forever and Always."

The next thing I knew I was in tear on the floor, still hugging Josh might I add. All I want is to have my beautiful baby girl with me and to make something of myself..... I just want to forget about everything that has happened.

"Rose, you need to come home. You need to sort this all out and if you don't want to want to see your mum, I will support you and I'm sure Zac will be here to."

I looked up at Josh and smiled, I really loved him. He was so kind and caring. But I realized something, I couldn't ask Zac to help me.... It could put him in danger and not only that, he didn't really want to know Chase. Let's just say that I love Chase and we have been through so much, but I've been through worse with Zac.

I looked up at Zac after a while to make sure he was still here. I wanted to say goodbye properly this time.

"Zac, I... I think I should go back. I need to get Jess back. I need to sort this out. Thank you." I looked at Zac but something about his expression confused me. He looked more amused then sad to say goodbye.

"what." I asked

"Rosie, you are so stupid sometimes. I am coming back with you. I am not letting you go back and having to deal with this all by yourself..... No offense Josh, I know you will be there too, It's just I kinda know a little more about the situation."

"Zac, I can't let you do that. I know how you feel about Chase and everyone. Anyway you have a life here, why would you want to come back with me."

"Rose, you are my family and my life.... I am coming back and no complaints. Okay !"

I looked back to the little girl playing at the park and I knew what I had to do next.

"Okay, Lets go back." I turned back to Zac." Are you sure you want to do this?"

"Shut up Rose and get in the car" I laughed at his response.

I felt safe, but not only that, I felt determined. I knew what I had to do and I was going to do it.

Sorry Guys... I know I haven't updated in a while and I know that this is really short, but I have just been really busy with year 12 and school work . I also have some exciting news I GOT EXCEPTED INTO NYFA....... The New York Film and Acting Academy at the Gold Coast...... So excited.
