Chapter Six: Keeping secrets

Rose's POV

Dear Diary

So the past couple of day's has been well difficult. Jade has been staying in our guest room and we actually have been getting to know each other and surprising enough, Jade is actually a really nice person and we have so much in common. I always thought that she was a stuck up snob but that couldn’t be further from the truth she is kind and nice and full of pain. Schools been hard with all the gossip and rumors about why she is staying at my house. I keep telling her that this will all go away and things will be okay but, well I'm not quite sure anymore.

I haven't spoken to Josh since we talked and he told me he wanted to do things right. I have tried to text him and he hasn't replied even at school he is avoiding me and I am not quite sure why. I am just so confused one minute he's telling me he wants to be with me and then the next he isn't talking to me. I guess that’s what I get for liking a senior on the football team. GOD they are all the same.

Sunday morning and I have the house to myself. Jade, Jude and John went to see the lawyer and talk about the charges against Jade's dad. I'm glad that Jude and John as helping and we are all doing our best to help her with her pregnancy. Chase stayed the night at Josh after the football game and the after party. They won which isn't unusual. I'm still confused about Josh. I have no idea what's happening with us but I decided that I had the whole house to myself and I was going to make the most of it.  I plug my IPod into the surround system and turn it up to full volume and the first song happens to be one of my personal favorites Lose yourself by Eminem. I climbed onto my bed and started jumping up and down and I completely lost myself in the music.

Josh's POV

I still need to talk to Chase about how I feel about Rose. I know it's real cliché but I want to get his permission before I ask her out. I mean it will be better the sneaking around and I know how close they are and I really like her, I want this to work out.

"Oi bro. What's up?" I shift uncomfortably at Chase question. Maybe I should just tell him better now than never, but at the same point I have a hangover and I don't feel like being punched out.

"Uhh Nothing. Everything is fine."

"Oh. Come on don't try and lie to me. I might be hungover, but I'm not that stupid."

"Okay fine." I said with a heavy sigh and waited a few seconds before continuing. " Look, I wanted to tell you something and can you just promise me you won't punch me in the face or you know kick my ass." He nodded so I continued. "Okay so it's about Rose." I stopped when I realised that he was laughing. I was a little confused. He probably thinks I'm a girl… I definitely sound  like one.
