Chapter Eight: Truth is out

I went to the only place I knew they wouldn't look. I've been coming here since I could remember and I spent most of my time pregnant here. I loved watching the sun rise and fall, it was so beautiful and I felt so at peace, at home even. I sat on the wooden seat that's been here for years and looked out over the water and watched the sun go down. It's been a few hours since I left the office. I can't believe that this was happening, after everything they are going to send me back. After I left I ran a friend that I knew would help and then ditched my phone so John and Jude couldn't use my lost IPhone app to find me.

"Rose"

I looked around to see Zac Jacobson , my partner in crime and my cousin, standing in front of me

"Zac." I ran and jumped into his arm giving him a hug.

"I've missed you, life is not the same without you. So why did you call me after such a long time. You promised when you left you wouldn't call me unless it was an emergency. It's not safe for you to be here."

" I know, but I need your help. It's important." He could tell by the look on my face that this was serious and I knew he was going to help me.

I met Zac when I was on the run. He was my dad's older brothers first son and when the family heard that I was running they did everything they could to try and find me. One day I was trying to find food, when he came up and hugged me and told me he was going to help me. Needless to say I freaked out and punched him in the face and tried to run, but he caught up to me and explained who he was. I went back to his house and met the rest of my long lost family. I explained why I was running and they helped me. Gave me shelter and food but after a while I left. They gave me their numbers and said if I ever needed anything just to call. But Zac being Zac knew that I wasn't going back, so we came with me and we became close. He was one of the only people I trusted and that included Chase. Chase is my brother but there are some things he wouldn't understand.

" I need to leave."

" would you liked to explain why and where you are planning on going?" I just looked at him.

"I had a meeting today with the department."

"Oh."

"Yea, we were going with my new foster parents because they wanted to adopt us."

"That's great, so you told them about Jess?"

"No that's the thing, I didn't. I was just so angry and I was already losing it because mum was in the room and she was trying to act all sweet and kept saying sorry. I just couldn't handle it and I zoned out, think about Jess and everything that happened."

" So, what happened ?"

"they want me to go back and live with my mum for a bit. To see if I really wanted to be adopted."

" what about Chase?"

"Nahh, He is getting adopted, only because he doesn't have a child."

"So you ran?"

"Well, I kinda had a break down and yelled at everyone and said to go fuck themselves and then I may have said something about having a child."

"Rose, what did they say?"

"Not much I didn't give them a chance I ran out the door as fast as I could and bolted down to the park then called you and made my way here. Ditched my phone on the way so they couldn't track me."

"So you want me to help you find a place?"

"No, I just need money."

"Rose, I'm not giving you money......"
