Chapter 40

Within one of the many forests of the underworld is Y/n who is sitting infront of a campfire beneath the night sky. His body is fully healed and he is currently eating a skewered rabbit.

Y/n/mind: 'I hate the devils for what they've put me through but I can't just leave those people to their fates.'

Y/n then hears a rustling in the bushes and he glances around cautiously for any sign of an attack. Suddenly Arthur leaps towards Y/n with his sword raised above his head and he swings it down at Y/n who rolls away. Arthur repeatedly thrusts his sword at Y/n who easily avoids the blows despite enduring multiple light cuts. Y/n manifests a sword and counters by bashing Arthur away.

Y/n: "You've clearly gotten stronger since the last time we met but the question I should be asking is why are you here?"

???: "Well we've come here to capture you that and we're here to get revenge for Kuroka after you poisoned her."

Says to voice of Vali who steps out from the trees along with Bikou who is holding his staff.

Y/n: "Well then come at me!"

Y/n demands when magic encases his body in steel platemail, a steel round shield and steel longsword. He ignites the blade with fire and dashes towards Arthur as the two of them begin to fiercely attack one and other. Their swords repetitively collide against each other with clangs and sparks emitting from them. However Arthur pushes Y/n back and manages to damage his armor.

Y/n/mind: 'He really has gotten much stronger since last we met.'

Y/n spins around and delivers a vicious swing of his flaming sword that sends Arthur's blade spinning away. Y/n kicks Arthur legs out from under him and then kicks him into a tree.

Y/n: "I don't care who sent you there's something much bigger going on here. The fallen angels have been capturing devils and brainwashing them."

Bikou: "Why the Hell should we care? We're here to capture you because Sirzechs agreed to pay us a huge amount of cash for it."

Y/n: "Fool."

Y/n says when he suddenly appears behind Bikou and slams his fist into Bikou's face sending him crashing straight through a tree.

Y/n/mind: 'Guess my words distracted him long enough for me to teleport behind him. But now I've got Vali to worry about.'

Suddenly Bikou leaps through the air and spins his staff before he wacks Y/n across the head knocking him to the ground. A split second before Bikou could strike again Y/n rolls aside and lunges at him with a shoulder bash. Bikou stumbles away but then dashes forward and spins around with a swift but wide swing of his staff. Y/n is sent staggering which causes him to growl.

Y/n: "Enough!"

Y/n uses magic to summon a lightning storm that blasts into Vali, Bikou and Arthur shocking them into unconsciousness.

Y/n/mind: 'I don't have time for this...I need to stop those fallen angels.'

Within the dimensional gap the Gremmory peerage members are struggling to fight against Rias as she effortlessly and mercilessly attacks them time after time.

Akeno: "Rias please stop this we're your friends!"

Akeno pleads with her master who stops for a moment and turns her head towards Akeno with tears streaming down her chin beneath the helmet. This gives Issei the opportunity to fly in for an attack as he bashes the core of the armors chest destroying it. Rias suddenly falls down into Issei arms and she forms a sad smile on her face before pointing her finger at him and charging up a destruction bolt. Issei quickly flies away and Rias starts attacking everyone with magic.

Akeno forms a magic shield that barely holds back the attacks coming from Rias. Together everyone else huddles behind the shield while Issei flies out towards Rias and he tackles her down.

Issei: "President stop this! Your stronger than this you can break free!"

Rias blasts Issei away with a blast of magic energy and Issei is sent crashing into another corner of the barrier.

Akeno: "I have to restrain everyone buy me some time!"

Akeno orders and everyone else nods before they charge at Rias and all at once they grab hold of her trying to restrain her. But she uses a burst of magic power to blast them away. Just then Akeno summons multiple magic circles that use chains to restrain Rias.

Issei: "President...please I'm begging you come back to us."

Issei says as he steps infront of Rias and lets his helmet down before he forces her into a kiss. This causes Rias's eyes to widen in shock and she tries to pull away but eventually she gives into the kiss. Moments later the chains vanish and Rias falls down in Issei's arms.

Rias: "I'm sorry...I'm sorry!"

Rias says as she starts crying and everyone else sighs in relief but then the barrier suddenly starts shaking and Loki appeara out of nowhere.

Loki: "You damn brats you've ruined my plan...it seems I have no choice!"

Out of nowhere Loki suddenly transforms into a massive but primal version of Issei's balance breaker.

Issei: "What the Hell is that form?"

Draig: "That's the juggernaut drive we should retreat while we can there's no stopping that."

Issei: "No! We need to finish this here and now can't you give me that form too?"

Draig: "You don't have the will to control it you'll become a mindless beast!"

Issei: "I don't care if it means winning my sanity is a price I can pay!"

Draig: "Very well then everyone leave this place immediately things are about to get ugly."

Asia: "Issei no you can't!"

Akeno: "I hate to say this but Issei is right everyone let's take Rias and get out of here."
