Chapter 41

In the underworld a legion of heavily armored and equipped fallen angels was making their way towards a very large town of devil citizens. Flying through the sky the fallen angels prepared to swoop down in order to attack. Together they all capture and severely injure the devil citizens while also fending off the town guards. Skullcrusher was with them and was enjoying himself by laughing as he mercilessly killed various guards with his war hammer. Buildings are set on fire and homes are destroyed during the conflict.

Skullcrusher: "Hahaha you puny devils are going splat hahaha!"

Suddenly multiple magic circles appear in the sky and release a storm of energy disc's that rip the fallen angel hoards apart.

Skullcrusher: "What the...OOF!"

Skullcrusher is sent sprawling across the ground by none other than Y/n who is clad in steel platemail with his sword and shield. The big behemoth of a fallen angel gets back up and lets out a hearty laugh.

Skullcrusher: "Your back again puny devil hahaha!"

Y/n: "I am not a devil!"

Y/n exclaims and then he charges at Skullcrusher but multiple fallen angels get between them. However both Skullcrusher and Y/n bash them aside before the two of their weapons collide with a massive burst of sparks and an earpiercing clanging noise.

Y/n: "I won't let you harm these people!"

Y/n yells and summons more magic circles that launch energy disc's at fallen angels cutting them apart. He and Skullcrusher relentlessly smash their weapons together and that's when Skullcrusher leg sweeps Y/n and bashes him in the chest with his war hammer. Y/n rolls across the ground and lands in a crouch before he sends several fireballs flying at Skullcrusher creating small explosions that knock him to the ground.

Skullcrusher gets back up and throws his war hammer at Y/n but he grabs the weapon in mid air, spins around and uses the moment to launch the weapon back at Skullcrusher. The war hammer smashes into Skullcrushers helmet knocking him unconscious. The rest of the fallen angels are forced to retreat while taking Skullcrusher with them.

Y/n/mind: 'I...I did it I saved them.'

Y/n thinks to himself as the other devils around him start cheering due to the victory. Y/n grumbles in annoyance and flies away with a bat of his dragon wings.

Y/n/mind: 'The scent of the fallen is still close there might be another attack that's going to take place. Whatever these bastards are doing I can't let them continue.'

With that Y/n heads off to a village of devils that's being intercepted by dozens of fallen angels and what looks to be devils flying with them clad in armor.

Y/n/mind: 'So I was right these bastards are capturing devils to form an army. But why?'

Back in the dimensional gap Issei Hyoudou is being brutally beaten down by Loki who has taken the form of the juggernaut drive.

Issei: "Draig anytime now!"

Draig: "No! I refuse."

Issei: "Then how the Hell are we supposed to---"

Issei's sentence is cut short when Loki's tail bashes him hundreds of feet away through the void. His mind is dazed and his vision becomes blurry as he drifts through the void.

Issei/mind: 'Is...is this it? Am I going to die?'

Draig: "It seems I really don't have a choice...if I want us both to survive I have to resort to drastic measures."

Suddenly a huge burst of crimson energy erupts out of Issei's body.

With his transformation complete Issei Hyoudou flies towards Loki with a burst of speed and the two begin their final clash. Claws, teeth and tail collide as the two of them send shockwaves blasting in different directions. Roaring and attacking one and other the two dragons force each other back and forth and back and forth.

Loki: "You've ruined my plans you fucking mongrel!"

Issei: "And you've hurt our president I won't ever forgive you!"

Issei screams and swings his claws at Loki tearing through the armor of his chest with a burst of blood. Loki lets out a pained gasp before his juggernaut drive shatters apart and Issei grabs hold of him and prepares to chomp his head off. With a cough of blood Loki gives Issei the middle finger and disappears. That's when Issei's own juggernaut drive shatters and he lets out his own cough of blood.

Draig: "I warned you Issei Hyoudou...your body could not handle all that power but at least you've won."

As soon as Issei loses consciousness his body is enveloped by a magic circle causing it to disappear. When his unconscious body reappears in the club room everyone is shocked.

Xenovia: "Asia!"

Asia: "Right!"

Asia rushes over to Issei and uses her sacred gear to heal him but the expression on her face is one of worry.

Asia: "Issei please be OK please!"

Slowly but painfully Issei wakes up and gives his friends a grin.

Issei: "How's the president?"

Akeno: "She's asleep but you should worry about yourself your in even worse condition than she is."

Issei: "None of this would've happened if that damn Loki hadn't put us through this. I can't believe he escaped."

Koneko: "Just be glad your alive you pervert besides we've got more important things to worry about."

Akeno: "That's right Sirzechs has ordered us to help his forces stop the fallen angels from attacking the underworld. We've been given a month to prepare before departing on this mission."

Kiba: "And besides that Vali and his team were beaten by Y/n though they're still hunting him. My best guess is he'll be put on trial before our preparations are complete."

Gasper: "I...I know he killed Zeoticus and all but the ritual is bringing him back to life can't we all just forgive and forget?"

Issei: "Why the Hell should we forgive that jerk sure he may have been mistreated but that never gave him the right to murder the presidents father!"

Gasper: "Alright alright I'm sorry!"

Akeno: "Calm down Issei!"

Issei sighs and sits up while scratching his head in embarrassment after being scolded by Akeno.

Xenovia: "I suppose we should start training as soon as Rias has recovered."

Akeno: "Your right we should...I have no idea what the fallen angels are up to but it can't be good."
