𝐈𝐓 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐂𝐇𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐌𝐀𝐒 𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆, rory's favourite day of the year, aside from her birthday, and here she was wishing she could lay in her bed and cry all day. unfortunately, her plans were put on hold when she heard very loud knocking on her front door. she dragged herself out of bed and made her way to the front door to be met by a smiling cole.

"you look a mess."

"cole what are you doing here."

"well, i figured you'd be bored on christmas day and i thought i'd be the amazing friend i am and clear my schedule for you."

"you did that for me?"

"no one deserves to spend christmas alone."

"you're the best friend a girl could ask for." rory said as she pulled him in for a hug.

"aw thanks." cole said pretending to blush.

"go get showered and then you can open your gift."

"you got me a gift?"

"of course i did, what kind of christmas would it be if you didn't get a gift?"

"cole, you're the best."

"tell me something i don't know." cole replied rolling his eyes as rory went off to her room to get ready.

𝐁𝐄𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐄 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐏𝐀𝐈𝐑 𝐊𝐍𝐄𝐖 𝐈𝐓, it was 5pm and they had to get ready for eddie's party. after opening their gifts, they had spent the day watching aurora's favourite christmas movies, cole had suggested they watch 'the guardian's of the galaxy holiday special' but rory had shut him down rather harshly as she said "holiday specials are not christmas movies."
