Chapter 9 Two Days

Note: I want to state that I might repost my Abuse note from my Finally Out ~ Marvel Soulmate Book because this book does contain abuse. And I've gotten a couple comments about the abuse in this book.

Adding to this. (Sorry it's sort of long)
Now, I'm not saying this is for all the cases when it comes to victims of abuse, but some victims have a hard time telling people they are getting abused, even if they are in a safe and healthy environment. The fear can still be there, it can still overcome the safe and healthy environment that's around them.

So I'm just saying for my character Carmen, she just got to Forks. In total of days of being in forks, it's been three and half days.

Only three and a half days.

Carmen isn't going to straight up tell her dad everything she went through even though she can, yes she's safe now, but it's hard. Carmen has been abused since she was young, it's sort of normalized to her(if you want to know what that means, in my abuse note, i explain it there), it's hard to stick up for herself when she was never allowed to.
Through the first few chapters you find out she's going to start to stick up for herself more, but that doesn't mean it's going to happen right away, again she normalized things that she shouldn't have and she needs to figure that out, also again fear. Plus, if she's getting her ass beaten because she's being abused it can be hard to defend herself especially when she was never allowed to.

Again, it's hard to do anything about it or tell her father about it right away. Give it time.

This is not towards anyone.

Chapter 9 Two Days

Third person pov.

Two whole days.

It's been two full whole sunny days since the incident at school happened between Carmen Swan and Edward Cullen.

The incident was going around the school like wildfire. The whispers, giggles, the rumors, the bashing went around fast the first day, but more kicked in the past two days both Carmen and the Cullens have been away.

To almost everyone, the new girl passed out, and to some, being dramatic about it. However there's a handful of people spreading rumors of what had happened.

One being that Carmen passed out because Edward Cullen was too hot and she couldn't handle it.

Second being that Carmen Swan is sick.

And many more. Some over dramatic, and some more… logical.

Today it was back to grey clouds, cold air and some rain. Though a lot of people love it that way.

"Are you sure you're going to be ok? You can miss another day of school” Charlie Swan protectively said to his youngest daughter who's making her snacks and lunch for her day back to school.

Charlie walks around in the kitchen following his youngest daughter and being the overprotective dad that he is.

Charlie Swan has been an overprotective dad ever since his kids took their first breaths. He wished he could have been with them more in the past, but things got difficult, but now they're back to him; at least for a while and he's very happy about it. Very overprotective too.

Camren nods her head and says, “Yes, dad, I'll be good to go. I already missed two days already, I shouldn't miss anymore. I hardly missed school when I was with mom… so I should go in today.”

Carmen places the last food item she's bringing to school in a ziplock bag and then places it into her bag and closes it up.

“Ok, fine, but if you don't feel good by any means, call me, I'll come and get you.”
