Riley Payne is growing up in a happy environment. As a young child, Riley speaks fluent English and Italian. She loves to spend time with her uncles and she spends her free time with her nose in a book. Her father, Liam, treats her like a princess and her mom, Reagan, gives her all of the love in the world.
Riley matures quickly and has a respectable boyfriend at the age of 16. Liam scares her boyfriend, but he gives Daniel his blessing when he asks to propose to Riley, almost three years later. A small, Italian wedding attracts only a quaint crowd of friends and family. Riley is happy, much like her parents and uncles. She takes every second like a blessing, never for granted.
