It's been 3 hours, and it's getting dark. The girls are getting scared.
"Where's Lina?" Malak asked. She must've asked this at least 5 times.
"I'm not sure, but I heard her mumbling something about Brooklyn during our circle time," Khadija says.
"That's It! Maybe she went to see Auntie Hajar! I remember she lived in Brooklyn!" Jannat exclaims.
"Hold on now," Marwa says, "How can we be sure that she's not biking her way back? For all we know, she could either be enjoying her stay at Auntie Hajar's house or enjoying the beautiful NY traffic back here."
"Good Point," Jannat says
"Why aren't you guys arguing?" Malak asks, "This conversation seems pretty neat."
"Close that (mouth) fumuk of yours before you start one," Marwa says.
"Let's just wait here until we get some news from Lina," Khadija says.
Hawa is fast asleep on the bench, her eyes glued shut.
"Girls, let's go to bed, I guarantee that Lina will come back in the morning," Jannat says calmly.
All of the girls put their heads down, too eager to sleep.
