It has been a year since the clearance of "My Hero Online" (MHO). Government official Taneo Tokuda asked Izuku Midoriya (Deku) and Tenya Iida (Ingenium) to look into a player in the game Cybertronian Online who went by the name "Laser Blade" and had a weapon that appeared to connect deaths in the virtual reality (VR) world with those in the real world. Not only did Izuku discover that the criminal was connected to the Red Guild, The League of Villains, from MHO, but Tenya also connected it to a real-life criminal who had almost killed his older brother while he was a police officer on patrol.
Deku and Ingenium joined the Cybertronian Online competition in an attempt to terminate L.O.V.'s killing rampage permanently and exact revenge on his brother. Their goal was to only interact with the player Laser Blade and to finally atone for their sins in My Hero Online.
