Nate's POV:
As a fresh-out-of-college student it was very difficult to find a job dealing in the medical field. Luckily, I live in a small town so I knew a few family friends that had already had a job set up and waiting for me at the local hospital. I started out with longer shifts then usual for a nurse in training. I guess I can thank my family friends for that. I have to wear a red uniform for now since im new but edventually I can work my way up to a light blue color that surgeons wear. I never really knew why I wanted to be a surgeon I just always felt the need to be in the medical field and my mother and father really pushed it on me to so I guess it made it easy to decide. Ever since I was young my parents shoved the idea of how cool it would be to save lives and fix people back up so, as you can imagine to a four year old that sounded pretty damn amazing. As I got older I realized it was more for the money and the bragging rights of having a daughter in the field. I didn't want to disappoint my parents by saying I didn't feel any satisfaction in "saving people" I was more of a animal person to tell the truth. I am a very quite, intelligent, an avid reader, and a very curious person. I have a very light blonde hair color, blue eyes and a tiny frame. I wasn't that tall either for being a grown woman. I remember getting teased by my old high school and college friends about my height. Most of my friends have all moved out of this town, but I do miss them and practically envy them as well. I live in a huge New York style loft in the down town area (which is pretty much main street for us really..). The beginning of my second week started today at the old, broken down hospital. I swear that one of these days its going to just fall apart on top of us all. It was around 6:15 am when I started and its now 3:30am, to say the least I am exhausted and ready to just go home. At least I will have a few days off to myself and my books. I walked out waving bye to the few people still crazy enough to stay just in case of a random emergency. You'd be surprised at how many incidents we get at crazy hours of the night. I walked onto the elevator that lead down to the parking lot. I walked up to my car quickly trying to get out of there ( I have seen way too many horror films). I checked my phone to see if I received any concerned messages from my mother, she usually messages me after work everyday asking if I have promoted yet. Of course you cant just be promoted after two weeks, especially when you are trying to prove yourself in a line of work you show barely any interest in. As expected,
Mother: "Hey Hun! Just wanted an update on how my smart, little money maker is doing? Are you a surgeon yet?"-received at 11:30pm,Opened at 3:55am
Im just going to let the her sleep and dream that I responded with an enthusiastic reply of "Yes! I got promoted!" Its too late to even send that! I threw my phone down in the passenger seat along with my coat and bag. I pulled out of the garage and immediately started feeling dreary. I forced myself awake multiple times as I took the back roads home. It began to pour outside, I could hear the huge droplets of rain hit my windshield and roof of the car. The thunder was so loud it shock the whole car as I sped home trying to keep awake and not die in some freak storm. I closed my eyes for a split second to calm myself down from all the excitement of the storm and I blacked out. I was awoken by a piercing ring and a bright, blinding light. I closed my eyes tight and covered my ears. They felt like they were going to bleed if I didn't find the source and make it stop. I yelled as loud as i could trying to speak over the insistent ringing. "Stop! Stop! Please, just stop!" I opened my car door to still feel the rain drops hitting my body. I shuffled around until I hit the cold, wet ground in pain. Then...silence. Out of nowhere it was quite again and the sound of the storm came back over powering everything else. I opened my eyes to see smoke rising from what looked like a whole in the middle of the street. I struggled to stand up and walked over with caution. I called out to see if anyone was there or if anyone could help me. But, no response just the storm once again. I reached the smoking pit in the road and leaned over it to look in it. I saw a bloody, beaten up man. Where in the hell did he come from?! He coughed and moaned a bit I could hear that he wanted to speak. I carefully made my way to him in the pit and kneeled down beside him. "Hello, my name is Nate Hall im a nurse I can take you to a hospital." I spoke calmly and quickly. He opened his eyes turning his head towards me. HE had the most bright blue eyes I have ever seen. I couldn't stop looking into them. "Sir, can you hear me? Maybe tell me your name or make a movement so I know you can hear me." He whispered but with the storm I couldn't hear him. I leaned in close my ear inches away from his lips. "My....na..me..is Castiel.."
