There was some odd understanding between the Vongola Tenth's guardians. One that even the Tenth didn't seem to be part of, but wasn't ignorant of it from the knowing look he would give his guardians said anything. It was something not spoken, like a rule not written. More than a rule, contrary to what was believed, it was an oath. An oath that came shining like a natural disaster in human form any time the Tenth ended in a precarious situation and as a cold war when the Tenth was hurt and out of danger.

-...think he wakes up. - The rain guardian didn't look elsewhere, his eyes were lost somewhere in the wall. He wasn't smiling, wasn't relaxed, and his hands were grabbing his sword with more force than necessary. Said sword, for the moment, didn't have any need to be used or even be there.

Only one person had tried to tell the rain guardian that weapons were forbidden in the infirmary. That person only got to half of a sentence when they felt death itself followed by eyes so unbelievably sharper and dark without any emotion joined with the not so shy message that the sword would not go anywhere.

- Tsk, of course not. - Denied the person that was just arriving, not even looking at Yamamoto. The newcomer's eyes were set in the unconscious figure on bed. - It is too soon. Better if he can get all the rest he needs and gives time to his body to heal. - The storm guardian left a food tray on the closest table. There was no need of words, not for this.

- For a bit of being awake... - The baseball player whispered, taking one of the sandwiches and giving it a bite.

- As soon as he does they will pressure. - The boy with gray hair was reminded without doubt.

Both boys went silent, knowing it was true. They were doing it with them, even if it wasn't necessary. The boys had already seen, felt, tried a little dose of what this future had to offer for them. They won't stay there with their arms crossed when, even if they weren't in danger and stuck in this situation. They couldn't even defend themselves from an enemy. They were fully aware that a great part of their victory was due to luck. Pure and plain luck. If they hadn't managed to open those weapon boxes, if they hadn't...

- He won with his own hands. - Yamamote pointed out after a long while, looking from the corner of his eye to who was still peacefully asleep.

What Yamamoto didn't say aloud was: "not like us".

- Yeah, and look where that got him. - But the point was clear: Tsunayoshi was strong. The Tenth had won with great disadvantage. And yet it brought consequences and they could not forget them. - He won't see it as a handicap. - To this reminder, both boys looked down. Nothing more was spoken.

The sky guardian won't see what happened as it was, no really. Tsuna won't see it as a victory, he won't see that he fought with great disadvantage. What he will see is that he is weak, very weak, and almost lost thanks to that. "I can't afford to lose", that was the sentence that has become a silent rule to Tsuna. In a certain way it was everybody's fault, that and what they have lived till now.

Instead of talking and explaining the situation as they should with the sky guardian, of telling he has done great taking in count the circumstances... What will happen is that they will put in their boss's head that things will become a lot more difficult. That they were wanted dead. That the sky guardian must become stronger and it must happen yesterday. Even if they aren't wrong, this was not the best situation or the best way to do it.

It was lucky they had decided to let Tsuna all the time he wanted to wake up. Something about it wouldn't do much, being tired after all that.

- Hey, Gokudera. - To change the topic to something happier: - How did you manage to bring this here? No one can eat in the infirmary. We couldn't at school. - It was a good point. How many times Gokudera didn't bring something to eat or simply a drink to those that stay to keep an eye on Tsuna? With a frown and everything, but Gokudera did it.
