Y/n POV:
It was another typical Monday. Teachers teaching the same lessons but a different topic, while half the class were writing the new information in their already beaten up notebooks, while the other half were either goofing off or sleeping. In the distant you could hear the same old clock, ticking the minutes away. Huffing out a sigh, I turned my attention outside. Placing my chin in my hand, I couldn't help but watch as a few of the student bodies wandered around on their free period. Feeling slightly jealous, I huffed out and turned my attention back onto the teacher.
Once again, the teacher was explaining some math problem that they wrote on the board behind them. Already knowing how to do the problem, I tuned them out as I layed my head on the table. I could feel my body begin to relax as my eyes fluttered shut. Thirty minutes was all I need. Thirty minutes until school was over. Thirty minutes until I had to meet both Inui and Koko at the school entrance to take me home before our mandatory Black Dragons meeting. Thirty minutes...
RING! RING! RING!
Startled, I shot my head up as I looked around. Noticing that the school day was over and my peers packing their things to either go home or go to their after school clubs, I began to do the same. Once I made sure that I had all my belongings, I made my way toward my locker. Avoiding each person that I passed, I finally made it to my locker. Opening it up, I put things away that I didn't need and grabbed the things that I did. Double checking again to make sure that I didn't leave anything, I nodded my head with satisfaction and closed my locker.
Following the flow of the rest of the student body toward the school doors, I could feel the bitter cold air hit my skin. Shivering, just a tad, I wrapped my jacket tighter as I made my way toward the school entrance. As I got closer, I couldn't help but notice someone else waiting for me. Arching an eyebrow, I quicken my pace.
"I thought Inui and Koko were taking me home," I finally spoke.
"Sorry girly, I guess you're stuck with me," Baji spoke with his signature toothy grin. Nodding my head, I smiled up at him as I grabbed his hand into mine.
"Then let's get going!" Pulling him behind, I couldn't help but laugh at his yelp as I dragged him behind me. It's been awhile since I saw him. Ever since both him and Kazutora joined the Black Dragons and became our "special unit", I haven't seen much of them. While I was working in the light, they were working in the shadow, as my eyes and ears. One of the many things my father taught me. To always have eyes and ears in the shadows; to always be one step ahead of my enemies. And that's what I'm doing; to always be one step ahead from anyone else, to make the Black Dragons the strongest gang in Tokyo.
