Chapter 9

"I'll have to patch you up once this is over." Law eyed the blood-soaked sashes on my waist as we stood atop the cart.

"Chopper will take care of it." It wasn't bleeding enough to make me stumble, but my vision grew a bit hazy.

"Straw hat crew!" Law turned his attention to the crew below—who stood waiting for the others. "What are you doing?! Everyone into the cart! If Caesar gets away because you knocked him off into the distance, the entire plan is ruined!!"

"What's your point?! Not all of my people are here!" Luffy's back faced us as he yelled back. "They're here!! We're back together!" He beamed, pumping his fist in the air. "Everybody on board! This place is falling apart!! Hurry up, time to get out of here guys!!"

Without saying, Law placed a hand behind my back to keep me from stumbling back as the cart began to take off.

"Quit frowning," I tell the warlord. "I'm sure the perverted robot caught the clown."

"FATHERRR!!!!!"

"AHHH! I'm being attacked by a giant eel!!" Brook stumbles back as a small pink dragon tries to jump him.

"Father! What happened to you?! It is I!! Momonosuke!" The dragon deflates, staring at the paralyzed man in Brook's arms.

"Hey, Momo!" Luffy was interrupted when rumbling came from above, an explosion erupting causing debris to fall—the cart swerving to its left at the impact.

"AHHH!!" Everyone screamed in fear.

"What was that?!"

"Something exploded!!"

"That was from D. The S.A.D. room." Law informed impassively.

"AHHH!!"

"Look out!!" Luffy protected one of the giant children from falling debris. "The corridors collapsing!!!"

"This tunnel is carved right through the mountain. If there's a collapse, we'll be buried alive." Law explained.

"NOW'S NOT THE TIME FOR IDLE NARRATION!!" Usopp yells at the warlord in fear and irritation.

I scowl at the sniper, watching as he recoiled back.

"The rubbles trapped us in!!"

"We're trapped!!"

Veins popped out of his head, a shadow cast over his eye, and a large frown appeared on his face as he sliced the rubble in half.

Roronoa sheathed his sword, turning his head my way. Our eye(s) connected before he eyed the warlord next to me, his eyes trailing the warlord's arm and hand that steadied me.

"Tell me, Law." Smoker grabbed the taller captain's attention. "Why did Caesar think he had my heart?"

"He made that assumption on his own." He sighed. "All I did was considerately return his secretary's heart to him." He smirked at Smoker's look of disbelief. "See? When you're nice to others, that good karma comes back around." Turning away from the Vice admiral, he asks. "Can anyone here create wind?" His fingers tapped my back, knowing I could. "There's probably going to be gas around the exit."

"WHAT?! YOU DON'T EXPECT SOMEONE TO JUST COINCIDENTALLY HAVE THAT EXACT POWER, DO YOU?!"

"Oh, I can do that," Nami spoke up happily causing Law to raise a brow my way. I shrugged my shoulders not feeling up to the job.

"SERIOUSLY?!?"

"AHH!! I CAN SEE THE EXIT!!"
