*Aashvi's home*

Mummy: Bilkul nahi, bilkul nahi, bilkul nahi!

Aashvi: Mummy, why are you behaving like this? You never complained when I had to go on missions before.

Mummy: Because, before, your missions made sense. What is this marriage thing suddenly? *scrunches nose in disgust* Honestly, beta I have no problem agar tum shaadi karna chahti ho toh, I will instead be happy, aur love marriage se bhi mujhe koi problem nahi hai. Lekin, shaadi only to get divorced later is something.....*looks at Aashvi's father*

Aashvi: Mummy....*looks at Nidhi* Tum kya udhar baith ke gajar ka halwa khaa rahi ho? Come here, help me!

Nidhi: *licking the bowl* I am sorry, but aunty ke haath ka gajar halwa is just so tas......*looks at Aashvi's glaring face* Sorry!

Nidhi stands up and walks towards Aashvi's mother.

Nidhi: Aunty, I actually understand you. *turns to look at Aashvi* Aashu, tu na apna naam waapas le le iss mission se.

Aashvi lightly smacks her arm and her mother hugs Nidhi out of happiness.

Nidhi: Ji, Aunty, ab zyada se zyada kya hoga? She will get fired! She will lose the only thing she loves doing the most- investigation. Uski 1 saal ki mehnat, uska sapna, sab pe paani phir jaayega but that's not a.....

Mummy: Nahi, ham yeh nahi chahte! Lekin abhi 1 saal pehle hi New York se aayi hai aur ab achanak shaadi! Ham isko kabhi kuch bhi karne se nahi roke, I let her do her thing but I feel like...*getting emotional*

Aashvi comes forward and hugs her mother.

Aashvi: Mummy, I know your care and concern for me and trust me, all this is a little too overwhelming for me as well, but there has to be somewhere I begin from and this seems like the perfect opportunity. This case has been dropped twice previously due to the complexity and since a marriage scheme is involved, no man can lead this case. I want to be bold for once and do something out of my comfort zone. Mummy, aap hi kehte rehte ho na that I never make you feel like you lack a son and since I am your only child, I get that you are being over protective but this is just a part of the plan. To evade corruption from our system, somebody's gotta step up.

Aashvi looked expectantly at her parents while they shared a concerning look with each other.

Her mother nods and both Aashvi and Nidhi jump with excitement and joy like having received the permission for a Goa trip.

Papa: Lekin, aakhir yeh toh batao ki hamara hone wala damaad hai kaun?

Nidhi: *serious face* Shaurya Kumar Thakur, aap logon ke gaaon ka hi hai uncle.

Papa: *trying to recollect* Sha....Shaurya? Ohh, Prabhakar Maalik ka beta? *smiles* Uske family mein kisne kanoon tod diya?

Aashvi: *grim face* Khud Prabhakar Thakur ne!

Mummy: Thodi toh izzat se baat kar...

Papa: Aisa kaise ho sakta hai? Prabhakar ji se ham bhi mil chuke hain, kaafi bhale insaan hain.

Aashvi: Well that's the thing. There's an old adage, 'jo dikhta hai woh hota nahi, aur jo hota hai woh dikhta nahi', Papa.

Mummy: Beta, itne bade khaandaan mein shaadi karni hai? Thoda sambhal kar...

Nidhi: Don't worry aunty. Agency ne iske peeche 2 excellent bodyguards lagwaaye hain. They will be at her beck and call every freaking time and Prabhakar ke saath iske interactions monitored rahenge, if he means any harm, we will quickly abort the mission. We have the whole plan ready. Aap logon ki bhi madad lagegi. So, ready to help the country?
