*Shaurya's room*
Aashvi was sitting on the bed with Shaurya's sisters. She was still in her bridal attire.
Nisha: *touching Aashvi's hair strand* Bhabhi, sach bolein toh aap hamko original bhabhi se bhi achhi lagi.
Aashvi smiled at her sweetly.
Divya: Haan, ab bolo, bhaiya ke saath unki shaadi ho rahi thi aur woh bhaag gayi. Agar nahi bhaagti toh unko kitna maan sammaan, rutba, paisa milta.
Aashvi instantly got defensive of her friend.
Aashvi: Nahi, woh in sab cheezon ke liye shaadi nahi kar rahi thi. Use actually itni jaldi shaadi nahi karni thi isiliye woh bhaag.....
Divya: Ek baat poochein bhabhi? Woh kisi aur se pyaar karti thi isiliye bhaag gayi ka?
Aashvi looked at Divya as she asked that question. She instantly judged Divya to be a prying person. She made a note to herself to not mingle too much with this 'nanad' of hers lest she attracts her doubts or suspicions.
Sia: Bhak! Aisa nahi bolte na. Abhi abhi toh bhabhi aayi hain. Bhabhi ke liye bhi yeh sab kitna ajeeb aur mushkil ho raha hoga. Unka toh socho.
Aashvi smiled at Sia. She could clearly assess the maturity in her tone.
Mandakini entered the room, smiling.
Mandakini: Tum ladki log kal baat kar lena apni bhabhi se. Abhi use sone do.
Nisha: Please Maa, thodi der aur baithne deejiye na bhabhi ke paas. Hamari pehli bhabhi hain yeh.
Divya: *smacking Nisha's forehead* Aur aakhri bhi.
Everyone started laughing hearing that.
Mandakini: Kyun? Gungun bhabhi, Aanchal bhabhi ko bhul gayi tum?
Nisha: Lekin woh sagi nahi hain na. Yeh toh apni sagi bhaiya ki bhabhi hain.
Sia: Bhaiya ki patni hain yeh, bhabhi hamari hain. Kya Nisha!
Nisha stuck her tongue out mischievously.
After another command from their mother, all three girls left the room, calling it a day. Mandakini went and sat near Aashvi.
Mandakini: Bahu rani, hamko pata hai tum thak gayi ho. Abhi tum soo jaao. Kal subah 4 baje uthna hai pooja ke liye.
Aashvi: *smiles* Ok, aun...Maa. *realizes* Kya? 4 baje?
Mandakini shrieks a little at Aashvi's raised voice.
Mandakini: Bass kal ki subah hi 4 baje uthna hai, phir tum aaraam se uth sakti ho.....6-7 baje ke aas paas.
Aashvi: *in mind* 6-7 baje uthne waale log aaraam se uthte hain? That's a news to me, saasu maa.
Mandakini: Bolo, pandit ji toh bol rahe the, 3 baje uthne ko boliye. Hamne keh kar unhe 4 baje pe raaji kiya. *smiles lovingly*
Aashvi smiled in return.
Mandakini exited the room wishing good night to Aashvi.
Mandakini: *outside Shaurya's room, to Shaurya* Beta, tu hamaar Raja Babua hau na? Okra ke yaatna na di! (You are my lovely son, right? Don't trouble her.)
Shaurya: Aapko itna toh vishwas hona chahiye apni paidaish pe Maa ki main chahe jitne bhi gusse mein rahun, kisi bhi ladki ke saath koi bhi galat kaam nahi karoonga kabhi.
Mandakini kissed his forehead and lovingly ran a hand through his hair.
Shaurya entered his room. He looked around. There were rose petals in the room and few had fallen or were arranged below the bed on the floor. The room was decorated with warm lights and scented candles, a typical first night ambience. Shaurya scrunched his nose in disgust. He directly walked towards his cupboard and started looking for a comfortable set of clothes.
