KIM TAEHYUNG
As I led the girl through the lavish halls of my mansion, I couldn't help but silently observe her. She was small, petite, her eyes wide with disbelief and just a hint of fear.
But she was also determined, I had to give her that. She hid her nervous in a firm expression .
We were walking but all of a sudden she stops turning to me and asks her voice slightly shaking "Your name .... what's your name ?" I took a moment before I answered, letting the suspense build. "Kim," I said simply, a smirk at the corner of my lips.
But she didn't look satisfied, her face creased into a frown as she persisted "Your ... your full name?" I could hear the slight tremor in her voice, sense the anxiety rolling off her in waves.
I could see the tension in her shoulders, the nervous edge in her voice. It was easy to forget sometimes, how overpowering my name could be .
For a moment, I just looked at her. Her eyes were fixed on my face, waiting for an answer.
Finally, I spoke, my voice neutral but firm. "Kim Taehyung." The moment my name left my lips, I saw the colour drain from her face. Her body went tense, her breathing fast and heavy.
For a second, she just stared at me, her lips parted in shock. I could see the realisation sink in, could practically hear the wheels turning in her head.
I raised a brow, watching her closely. Her reaction was exactly as I had expected and yet it still piqued my interest.
Most of the people didn't got the privilege to know how I actually look like ? They only know my name .
I never let media to take my picture.
"Something wrong?" I asked, my tone nonchalant despite the tension in the air.
She swallowed, her throat bobbing up and down as she tried to find her voice. "You're...you're Kim Taehyung?" she asked, still stunned.
I leaned against the wall, my eyes never leaving her face. "The one and only," I said, a hint of dry humor in my tone.
She let out a shaky exhale, her hands clenching and unclenching. It was obvious she hadn't expected this turn of events.
She looked like she wanted to say something, her mouth opening and shutting a few times. But whatever it was, she didn't say it. She just stared at me, her mind clearly racing.
I gestured to one of the maids who was standing at the side, quietly waiting.
"Take her to the guest room," I said, my tone brisk.
The maid nodded, giving me a small curtsey before turning to the girl. "Please, follow me."
The girl hesitated, her eyes flicking towards me for a moment before she hurried after the maid. I watched them walk away,My mind was already moving to the numerous tasks I had to complete, but a small part of me lingered on her.
