chapter three

AVAS POV-
It's finally thursday - day before the party on friday
I'm so excited yet scared like ive not been to a party since I joined this school.
My brother never lets me go because of his friends - i dont actually understand that though because my friends go too?
I wake up at 6.30am again because i actually like going to the bleachers in the morning

I wear a white halter neck and low rise flared jeans that make my bum look good with a leopard print belt
I put my hair in a messy bun and do my usual makeup
I grab my hand bag and head downstairs, i leave my breakfast on the side and grab a glass of water.

Tyler comes down 5 minutes later and eats the breakfast mom made.
We head out and he lets me control the music so i play the weeknd - my favourite
We walk over to the bleachers
"Hey guys!"
Troy and Roy bombard me with greetings and start rambling about something that happened with Kat the other day.

Tyler starts smoking with his friends and they talk like usual
Nate arrives earlier than normal - ive not properly see him since Monday because he has practise all the time
"Hey Ava, hey ty" he greats the rest of his friends but he sits closer to me today

He lights a cig and hands me it
"Go on, hes not looking" he whispers in my ear
I can already see Troy and Roy staring at us - I take a few drags of his cig and pass it back.
"Shit sorry i got some lipstick on it" I whisper and laugh
He laughs and continues to smoke
I can feel my brother glaring at nate and me

"So you smoke?"
"Yeah every now and then, generally with rue or the twins" i glance over in their direction.
"Ahh okay, ill keep that in mind"
Nate continues to talk to his friends and i go back to talking with the twins

That's when Maddy comes over to the bleachers
She gives Nate the death glare and smiles when she sees me
"Heyyyy bitchhh"
"Heyyy Ava, come over here for a sec"
We walk away from the boys and she starts to talk about the party

"So basically you should wear a dress, ill be wearing a purple two piece. OH and bring a slutty bikini for later - its a pool party after a certain hour. It's at these peoples house that i babysit for, they pay me to check in on their house when they are on holiday so we have the place to our selves. Ill send you the address now"
My phone pings
"Ahahha okay perfect, is it byob or???"
"Well yeah maybe try to, vodka or tequila would be ideal"
"Got it!"
"Right well Ava, im going to get looking for cass so see ya"
"Bye mads!!" We hug and i go back to the bleachers

"OI Ava what was that all about?"
"Tyler not that it was any of your business but it was about rue."
All of his friends exclaim 'nahhhhh'
They all laugh

At the end of the day, Maddy convinces me to join their cheerleading practice.
I try my best and i actually do well like Cassie but we are no way in comparison to Maddy, but by the end of practise i get better 
But this is when the guys football practise is finished
Nate stands by the door staring at me
He never even glances in Maddy direction, his eyes were fixed on me.

We finish and the coach gives me a position in the team
I quickly get changed into my Nike pros and a sports bra, i have my sweatshirt in my arms and my messy bun is messier than before.
Nates leaning on a wall outside the changing rooms

I walk over to him and he looks me up and down, he smirks but he looks mad?
"What are you wearing??"
"What do you mean? Just my workout clothes"
"Put your jumper on"
"No Nate, im boiling"
We walk to his car and he giving every single person a death glare if they even look at me or in my direction
What the fuck

"Oh is Tyler not taking me home?"
"He's at Natalia's again"
"Oh alright"
We sit down in his car and he starts driving.

"I saw you at your practise"
"Oh did you? I'm not very good I've just joined the team"
"Well you looked good"
"Ahaha" i just laugh, i cant with Nate - I can't do this to Maddy

We arrive home and we sit on the couch and as usual i put grays anatomy on
We talk for a bit until it's 6.30pm
"Ava what we gonna eat"
"Nateee, you know i never know
"True, but ill be getting your favourite!"
"Nooooo Nate i told you im not hungryyyy"
"Ava you have a problem, you haven't eaten all day."

"So i dont care if your not hungry. It's too bad, im ordering it"
He orders wing stop
He knows me so well that he orders my favourite four flavours: garlic parm, atomic, Luisiana rub, and spicy Korean. WITH extra ranch.

My mouth waters when it arrives, the delicious aroma carries itself around the house
He starts eating and i cant help feeling guilty when i pick up the chicken wing.
I devour all of my wings and soon after i tell Nate im going to go for a shower

The guilt hits me like a brick wall
Why did i need to eat SO much
I head upstairs and turn the shower on
I sit next to the toilet and release.

I shower and get changed into some booty shorts and a baby tee.
I head down stairs and nate looks at me and pats the seat next to him
I sit down and he puts his hand on my thigh
"How was the food"
"It was so good, thanks nate"

He goes in for a kiss and i go into panic mode
Shit
I forget to swerve.
Our lips collide and before i notice its been 20 minutes
And thats when i lose track of time

I feel physically hot, my breathing deepens
Nate starts becoming more desperate - grabbing my hair and pulling me closer
He takes off his shirt revealing a toned muscular chest with a set of perfect abs, chiselled like a roman god
He pulls me onto his lap
He's about to take my top off when we hear an engine outside stop but we both ignore it

That's when my heart returns back into my chest - my brother starts unlocking the door
I jump off Nate's lap and start fixing my top and my hair

He shoves his T-shirt back on and fixes his hair,
When i jump over to him to wipe off any lipstick stains around and on his mouth
I fall back into my seat and turn the volume up on grays anatomy
Nate goes straight onto his phone to look nonchalant

"Ava why are you still up? It's 1.30am"
"Oh is it? I was just really into the show"
"Go to bed Ava.

I head upstairs and wink at Nate when my brothers in the kitchen
That's when Nate rubs his hands on his face and groans

I fall asleep thinking of Nate and Mc Dreamy's performance in grays anatomy
