chapter 4

AVAS POV-
I woke up today at 6, I couldn't physically sleep for any longer before thoughts of yesterday bombarded my brain.
Also today is the day 0f Maddy's party, so i put my normal makeup on and i wore a baby blue halter neck top and baby blue jeans to match,

I headed down stairs and skipped breakfast again as i was in a rush because i was too busy planning my party outfit for later: but i somehow manage to pour my self a coffee
My brother comes down and eats his breakfast and we leave the house.

We go to the bleachers like normal and i sit with Troy and Roy.
That's when Nate arrives - less than 5 minutes after us when hes usually 30 mins later
He sits next to me and McKay

He starts to chat with his friends and i just go back to laughing at memes with the twins
They make me laugh - always showing me videos of random kids getting hurt on instagram reels
I can just keep sensing nate's eyes on me

That's when the twins bring up the party
"So? you going to Maddies party tonight or nah?
"I should be, if fucking Tyler doesn't intervene AGAIN"
We all end up laughing when Nate turns to me

He whispers in my ear
His hot breathing makes my spine shiver
"You going to the party? Hope I see you there."
"Yeah I am, first party in too long. I'm so excited!" I smile
"Okay but whatever you do don't tell Ty your coming with me but I'll give you a ride to and from. I can come in too because Ty should be at Nats tonight"
"Mmmm I don't think so Nate, think Maddy is taking us"
"Well no, now she's not"
He starts to seem annoyed at the idea of us going to the party together when it's already been arranged, it is maddies party at the end of the day - I couldn't do that to Maddy
"Nate."
"I'll pick you up at 9"
I scoff and move away from him

"So what are you two talking about."
Tyler starts talking to Nate over the whole group as if they were not even there
Everyone just looks at the two of them
"None of your business Tyler"
Tyler stands up and goes towards Nate "I said what are you two talking about"
Nate stands up in turn
"And I said none of your business"

I look up at the two of them
Both equally muscular and tall, but Nate has a few inches on him
Absolutely fucking pathetic

I give ty the biggest death glare and say his name
He pays zero attention to me for a solid minute
Everyone is just sat in silence

"I swear to fucking god Ava, if your at that party."
"Don't fucking tell me what to do, I might go now - great idea Tyler!"
"You wouldn't dare"
"The fuck I wouldn't"
I laugh at the absurdity of the situation
All of his friends are just laughing along with me

"All of you fuck off - any of you want to say anything?"
"Tyler chill the fuck out, it's never that deep" one of his friends say and tries to ease the situation with an awkward laugh
He squares up his friend that's just sat on his phone
"Give me one of your cigs and walk away."
He follows his orders like a lost puppy, well he tried at least

"Your such a prick"
I yell at Tyler and me and the twins walk off into school, round about time for class anyways

Again, another day where everyone staring at me
We all bump into Maddy - daily interaction at the point
"hey mads"
"What's up with you now? You better not be having regrets about this party"
"No of course not! It's just Tyler"
"Ugh i hate that guy, just put Cassie on him at the party. Get him laid, might do him some good"
"Ahhaha stop it Maddy, she doesn't like him does she?"
"Would be good for the two of them, release some tension."
"Right okay well I'm gonna head off to first period"
"I'll walk with you!"
She casually dismisses both of the twins like it's their queue to leave
They go find Kat and catch up with her

By the end of the day, Tyler seems more relaxed so everything's better
My phone pings
Tyler: going to Nats, yk the drill
Me: tell her I say hi

Maddy is waiting for me outside my lesson
"Hey babe, I think the twins are gonna drop me off at the party so i should be there at nine, so sorry!"
"Oh it's alright, ask them for two pre rolls to make it up to me"
"Ahahah okay will do, bye mads!"

Right now I have a task
Me: hey bring two rolls, give u the money at the party
Troy: I'll give it u on the house, see you there
I love them both

I leave the building and see Nate leaning against his car like always
Sometime I think some parts of my life feel fake, he looks too good right now for it to be okay
His muscled arms, the chiselled set of abs showing through his T-shirt, his fluffy hair
He spots me and his face visually lights up

We sit in the car in silence until he turns the radio on
We arrive to my home
"Am I coming in while you get ready and we can order some food"
"You can do! If you want to change just borrow some of Tyler's clothes, you should be a similar size"

He just plops down on the couch and scrolls on his phone
I grab another glass of coffee before heading up stairs
I can still feel Nate's eyes following me as I move around the kitchen

An hour and a half later I come downstairs ready to go
I'm wearing a tight, short, black sequinned/glittery dress. It has a slit on the thigh that goes a little too high. A deep v neck that perfectly highlights my boobs, making them look full (for once).
I feel so exposed and not like my self
I prefer baggy clothing or at least baggy pants or something.
But I'm trying to step out of my old ways of just wearing my Jordan's with a dress, so I'm wearing black kitten heels

I put my hair in a half up half down, curls running down my shoulders
I did my normal makeup but spiced it up with a wing, some false eyelashes, and some gems
I always love the way Maddy does hers, so I felt abit influenced

I feel ready for this party

As I open the living room door, Nate's head turns instantly
He looks confused and some what shocked
What is this man THINKING
He takes a solid few seconds to just look at me
His eyes wander around my body
My hips, my waist, my boobs, my thighs.
God.

His eyes linger
I clear my throat and go bright red
"You clean up niceee little sophomore"
I laugh
