कहीं आग लगने से पहले
उठता है ऐसा धुआं
जैसा है इधर का नजारा
ओ वैसा ही उधर का शमा
दिल में कैसी कसक सी जगी
दोनों जानिब बराबर लगी

As usual, she stood there in silence, with her head bowed, attempting to hold back tears, though occasional sobs escaped her lips.
"Why are you behaving like a child, Akansha? Grow up," he exclaimed, venting all his frustration.
She slowly raised her head and, gazing at him with teary eyes, said, "My actions may seem childish because you've always treated me like a child. And now that you have a girlfriend, you want me to behave like an adult."
Seeing tears in Akansha's eyes, his anger seemed to disappear in a moment. He wiped away her tears and, embracing her, said, "Calm down, junior. You know I can't stand tears in these beautiful eyes of yours. And your wish is my command. Tell me, what do you desire?"
" Pinky promise " she said showing her little finger.
He passed a smile and intertwined his little finger with her's , "promise".
Without wasting any time, she said, "Break up with Harshita, she's not right for you. She's not a good girl, believe me."
As soon as she uttered those words, Vishwas separated his little finger from hers, withdrawing his hand.
Desperately, Akansha pleaded, "You promised, Vishwas."
"I know what I'm doing, and if she's wrong for me, I'll be the one to suffer the consequences. You need not worry," Vishwas replied, and walked away, leaving her alone in that empty field.
As he walked away, Akansha sank to the ground on her knees, letting out heart-wrenching sobs.
After a while, she composed herself, wiped away her tears, and stood up, whispering to herself, "You will regret this, Vishwas. Today, you've broken your best friend's heart. I wish you never get to suffer what others did. I wish this relationship to work out for you"
As the alarm rang in the morning, I opened my still sleepy eyes, turned off the alarm lazily and glanced at the clock - it was 7 AM. "Oh God, either it's morning or evening, it's always just one recurring dream. When will you release me from this Mata Rani? He's happy in his life; I've been proven wrong. Now, please forgive and let me live in peace."
"If you've finished talking to yourself, talk to us as well. Your brother hasn't come all this way just to hear your stupid dreams about some random boy" teased my mischievous brother, interrupting my thoughts.
Glancing at him, I stuck my tongue out and hurried to freshen up.
Today is the third day of Chhath Puja, the day of the evening Aragh, and also the day that turned my life 360°. Yes, today marks the beginning of our story, although in reality, it started eight years ago. Or maybe a week ago. God knows. ( Chath puja is an auspicious festival, the 4 days festivities of chath puja are mainly celebrated in Bihar, uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand)
