Sam rushed out of his classroom with his bag once the lecture was over. He stared at his phone which was ringing for the 4th time even after him not picking it up.

He reached the canteen and leaned himself on a pillar before attending the call placing the phone on his ear.

Mathi: Sam!!

Sam: Mii! Ethana vaati mii solla call edukala-na thirumba thirumba call pannadha-nu?

He was frustrated with his mom's atrocities. Being a single child to his mom and his mom being a single parent to him, she has pampered Sam with all her love and care. Sam was the only reason for his mother to continue live her life. But Sam never took advantage of her pampering. He did enjoy when his mother gave all her attention to him and never denied anything he wanted, but he was one matured child who knew the struggle that his mother has been going through. He would never throw tantrums which was another reason for Arulmathi to love him.

And when the 18 year old Sam had to leave his mother and join the hostel for his college, his mother was very upset with it. But Sam somehow cajoled her and that was the reason for her to atleast call him 5 times a day to know his whereabouts.

Mathi was working as a manager in a huge textile shop which paid her enough to pay the rent of their house as well as to run the households. Sam always wanted to find a job for himself atleast for his expenses but Mathi never agreed to it. He was the apple of her eyes always.

And now when Mathi kept calling him during his lectures, he was restless getting worried for her as well as afraid not wanting to get caught to that one grumpy professor whom he hates truly.

Mathi: Seri seri kelu!

Sam: Sollu!

He pouted angrily as if she could see him and started walking. He roamed around his college campus looking around hearing his mom speak.

Mathi: Saaptiya da?

Sam: Illa mii ini dhaan! Ippo dhaan lecture mudinchu..... Saapduven konja nerathula......

As he spoke, he noticed a girl who seemed to look like a highschool student entering the college campus by placing her right foot first inside the campus. She had her bag hanging on one side of her shoulders, another one had her hand bag. She was struggling to pull her luggage inside which consisted of one sky blue coloured trolley bag and another orangish red travel bag which she was pulling in with the bag's wheels.

Mathi: Saapdu da! Saaptutu pesalaam la?

Sam: Mii orey nimisham iru.....

He asked Mathi to wait for him patiently who frowned with confusion as Sam had never asked her wait on line. But still she kept quiet until her son spoke.

Sam on the other side rushed to the girl who had all his attention from the time she had entered in through the college gate. He noticed many students and staffs around but neither of them gave a glance at her. His helping mind made him rush to her who jerked looking up feeling someone's presence beside her. That's when Sam looked at her face.

Her shoulder length hair which was braided loosely and was hanging in front of her shoulder. Her locks in the front flowing in the air. Her forehead which had a small black bindi stuck between both her sharp eyebrows. Her nose looked sharp and long. Her ear adorned with a small jhumka which slightly danced to the wind. Her eyes which had shine but was staring into his in confusion. Her thin lips which had a slight pout which showed her irritation. Her neck having just a thin gold chain with a blue coloured heart pendant.

His eyes were about to roam down further but his brain stopped him from doing so which was a very stupid deed. He shook his head mentally cursing himself for gawking at a woman so openly.
