The emperor suddenly gave the terrified looking child to felix
"Felix carry her y/n move forward"
"I should have tea with my guest"

"yes your majesty"

Soon they settled in the drawing room and y/n went to prepare tea... The girl sat awkwardly looking away from the emperor, Felix sttod behind the emperor looking at the little girl worried y/n soon walked in holding a tray steadily and placed it on the table pouring some for the emperor and giving athanasia a cup of milk
"I didn't know you couldn't speak"
The emperor said just as y/n stood behind the couch he was sitting on, the little girl was startled and let out a 'hic'
"well this is boring"
the emperor said looking back at the two of them. Y/n looked at him with a disapproving look
"athy can talk"
That small sentence made y/n focus more on the child as the child giggled
"finally I get to hear your voice, why did you stay silent until now?"
The emperor spoke looking at her and she just stayed silent
"pardon me your majesty little girls around the princess' age are known to be very shy"
Felix said and y/n agreed with him by nodding
"y/n were you shy when you were younger"
The emperor asked y/n as she looked at him confused
"yes of course your majesty"
Y/n said the emperor looked at her for a while before he scoffed
"I don't believe you"
The emperor said as y/n looked at him with a business smile
"someone as shameless as you wouldn't be able to feel shyness"
He continued coldly
'then why did you ask'
Y/n thought before returning to the girl who was smiling like her life depended on it
"y/n, Felix"
"yes"
"leave us"
Y/n looked at the girl pitifully as felix was shocked y/n soon pulled felix
"understood your majesty"
She bowed before leaving and pulling the shocked and confused felix with her they stood outside. y/n leaned on the wall relaxing her eyes after all because she had to tend to the emperor all the time even as in the middle of the night when he comes by her room she had barely a chance to sleep so she took this as her chance
Soon after athanasia walked out she looked as white as a sheet
"oh dear are you okay"
Y/n asked upon seeing her
"she won't die... Felix take her back to the ruby palace"
Y/n handed her to felix her hold was gentle on athanasia that Claude almost felt jealous but shook his head realizing he is jealous of his kid
"y/n follow me"
Y/n nodded before following him back to his office as she thought but surprised to see him go to his bedroom... Y/n walked in with him nonetheless
"are you alright you seem pale"
Y/n asked him trying to see what is wrong with him but she flinched when she felt herself being pulled to him as she fell on his lap she tried getting up but was kept down by claide
"your majesty this is inappropriate"
Y/n spoke quickly trying to get up again
"stay... Please... I don't feel good... Don't leave me don't be like her"
Y/n's struggle stopped as she sat down on his lap obediently she doesn't want him to feel abandoned not again she barely got him to go out after Diana's death
"you can tell me what is troubling you"
Y/n said as she patted his back
"I hate it... She reminds me of her alot she looks like her.... And worst of all she knows I am her father even though I didn't visit her once.... If feels as if I went crazy"
Y/n didn't know what to say to comfort him when the matter come to Diana he is very sensitive and is affected by words easily so she just patted his back trying to comfort him without speaking
"do you want my advice or do you just want me to comfort you"
Y/n said but he kept quiet
"try to make up for all the time you left her alone take it as if you are paying Diana back if you can't see yourself as her father"
Y/n spoke and sat with him after he finally let her go... She got up and sat next to him speaking to him and comforting him until he fell asleep and he refused to fall asleep anywhere except on her shoulder
"goodnight"
Y/n said
"by the way I still don't believe you were shy at some point"
Claude said before diving into a deep sleep y/n looked at him thinking of ways to take her revenge without losing her head
