Chapter 5: Flames of a Gem

It was noon. Rukia Kuchiki execution.

In the hidden training room, Renji tied his hair getting ready to go outside and save Rukia.

Renji: See you around.

Meanwhile Y/N woke up, sore from all the training he did yesterday. He look around and see Ichigo stilll training and Renji talking to Yoruichi. He get up go eat a breakfast, when he finish he goes take some bandage with he put on his torso, right biceps and around his forehead. He also took a medicine for migraine, Yoruichi hit harder than thought.

As he was watching Ichigo training he noticed that his shihakusho was in bad state, looking at it make Y/N think and look at himself. His wasn't any better, his right sleeve was gone, the lower half of his left sleeve was ripped nadhe had a few holes in the top of his shihakusho, which was a bit undone as we could see a bit of his bandage torso.

Y/N: Oh well, It's not like I have spares anyways.

He walk to Renji and Yorucihi, who were still speaking, he wave at them making himself be noticed by the two. Y/N notice Renji ready to go at any  moment.

Y/N: You're going to go ?

Renji: Yeah, I need to save Rukia.

Y/N think for a second before taking a decidion, he put a hand on Renji's shoulder.

Y/N: Renji...

Renji and Y/N were seen running in the streets of seireitei, unknown to them that they were already. 

Both Y/N and Renji were battling some average shinigami while running, breaking theirs zanpakuto. Leaving them on the ground, powerless.

Both jump on the walls to go faster as they could see the senzaikyu from afar.

Renji:"Almost... I'm almost there... It won't be long before... I have to get you out of there... I won't let them put you to death !" Rukia...

Y/N who was slightly behind Renji, look at him with a taint of concern and worry as he didn't want his new friend being killed by doing a harsh action. However both stopped in theirs track, without moving they started to sweat. Both shinigami could felt a huge amount of spiritual pressure, unfortunately Renji recognise it easily. He look up to see Byakuya Kuchiki, Rukia's older brother and captain of the 6th divison.

Renji: Captain Kuchiki....

Byakuya: Where are you going, Renji ?

Renji: I'm going... To save Rukia.

Byakuya: You may not.

Renji: I will. Is there a way that you'll let me pass ?

Byakuya look at Renji without much emotions.

Byakuya: I won't say it twice.

Faster than a blink Byakuya disappear and appear behind Renji, seeing that Y/N jump back in surprise. Without any wait Renji turn while drawing his zanpakuto and start clashing with Byakuya.

Renji: That was Senka... A shunpo with a spin for striking the enemy from behind. It can destroy the saketsu chain and hakusui soul  with a single thrust. It's your best move. I've seen it many times... In my mind. Using logic, I foresaw your moves. Captain... Your blade can no longer kill me.

Byakuya: You're rather talkative. What makes you so positive ? Did you actually think you could surpass my blade with that ?

Renji: !

Renji: Y/N ! Go !

Without any question Y/N nod and shunpo as fast as he could to escape Byakuya wihle Renji was fighting him. Byakuya just glance at Y/N without showing much interest.
