"Wait wait wait. So you're telling me that you don't have a special someone for valentines day?!"

* No, and I don't want one, J! You all have a special someone but don't want anyone. 😂

"Unbelievable..."

August finished pouring them both hot chocolate and they went into the meeting room to meet Mason and Talya.

"Right guys, seven 18 year old girls reported missing two days ago. One of the girls was found outside a flower shop, dead. She was beaten pretty...horribly. I've sent the case info and pictures to your tablets."

* Sheesh..looking again her injuries, the unsub is a male.

"The aggression indicates it was personal." Talya pointed out.

"The level of anger suggests that the unsub is nowhere near done. Wings up in 20." Mason stood up.

They got their files and document and got on the plane within half an hour. August sat in her usual comfy seat, looking through the case files again. The girl - Rosa Hugh - was found outside a flower store.

* Hey, I think I know the unsub's aim.

"Go on."

* Call me crazy but he specifically chose to abduct 7 young women. There's 7 days until valentines, what if he's looking through the perfect girl for him and eliminating one everyday?

"That would explain where Rosa's body was found. If this is true, then one of the six girls remaining are in trouble and we need to act fast. When we land, August and I will go to the crime scene. Talya and Jacob, find out about the lives of each of these girls and talk to their parents. They all must have some kind of common thread."

* Yessir.

When they landed, August and Mason went to the crime scene. It was a bloody mess. The head of the police department greeted them both.

"What can you tell us so far?"

'Yeah sure. She was found right there, beaten up badly. The cause of her death was a brain hemorrhage. No eye witnesses, feel free to explore the scene, you might find something we haven't.'

* Thank you.

They looked around. Everything seemed fine at first.

August looked at her tablet and saw a message from Talya. All the girls went to the same high school.

"Got the message?"

* Yeah, go to the school. I'll meet you there, the unsub had to have left something.

He nodded before going. She looked around. She entered the store and looked around. Nothing seemed out of place except for-

August picked up the note with gloves and read it.

You think you're the chosen one? You're right, you are. The six are jusy for fun...women deserve the pain anyways.

She dropped it into a plastic bacl and gave it to the authority to process for any fingerprints before going to the school to meet Mason.

* Any leads?

"We're taking six boys into questioning. All girls were in the same mathematics class."

* There was only six boys in a maths class?

"It was a specialist class, top 13 students in the school. The unsub is calculated, probably arrogant, thinks he's too smart to be caught."

* We need to mess with their egos during interrogation, no problem. I found a note from the unsub in the flower store.

"What'd it say?"

* 'You think you're the chosen one? You're right, you are. The six are jusy for fun...women deserve the pain anyways.'

"Maybe he's intimidated by the girls in his class?"

* A sexist boy with so much ego that he kills seven girls. I guess the real question is whether he's killing out of jealousy, love, or both?

...

'Jess, just stay calm. It'll spread faster the weaker we...we get...'

'He's n-not here..let's escape!..'

They could barely stand up with the gas all around the room. Daniella coughed, trying her best to keep her eyes open.

'W-Wait..look! I-It's clearing up! Dani, h-hold on a little longer..'

She wheezed, trying to remind to Freya, but she couldn't breathe anymore.

She was asthmatic.

Her eyes closed in a matter of minutes, but nobody could help her because the other five has passed out due to exhaustion.

...

August grabbed the next file. Five students had already been interrogated and let go due to lack of evidence and no suspicion. She entered the interrogation room, looking at the last boy.

* Would you like anything to eat or drink?

'No, I'm fine..'

She sat down, sighing.

* All the other boys in your class have checked out. You don't have social media, but you love technology from what I've heard, right?

He nodded hesitantly, where was she going with that question?

* So you'd be able to know where all seven girls were on the day they went missing.

'What?! No, of course not! I love technology sure, but more on the mathematical side..y'know, coding, computational theories, y-you get my point. No boy in my class would do this..I knew them too well. If anything, wouldn't it be better to interrogate the triple five?'

* The...triple five?

'Five boys in our school, a secret gang. They go around putting notes in girls. If you get a note, you're supposed to meet them to 'hang out'.'

* And if a girl doesn't?

'It's never happened before..but girls who get the chance to meet them never say the names of the boys.'

* Why not?

He sighed, writing down a name on the paper in front of him.

'She's a childhood friend. She got a not last year and never spoke about it again...she might be able to help you.'

* Thank you.

August unlocked his hands and he was set free. They walked out of the interrogation room together and he was dismissed.

"It wasn't him?"

* Nope, I don't think we're looking at one unsub here. There's a group, well, more of a gang. They're called the Triple Five. They send notes to girls and they have to go out with them. Nobody knows what happens when they don't listen to the notes. I have a suggestion, but you might not like it.
