Chapter 52: Void

Anna hit her head lightly on a wall, which appeared to be a floor, she looked around to see her teammates were all in the same problem, all but one. the rocket had blasted off into space and is now floating in the abyss, 

"Is this the greatest thing ever or what?" Jay exclaimed, joying over the situation and doing a 360 moonwalk in the air, "Where are you? We're trapped in space and you...where did you go?" Kai panicked

"Guys, we're in space. I thought this is stuff only Fritz Donnegan gets to enjoy." Jay said excitedly

Lloyd hit the wall "Fritz is from a comic book, dude"He waved his arms to help his movement "This is real!," Lloyd yelled  "Well, you got me hooked on the character. Would you lighten up and not step on your dreams of being a real Starfarer just yet?" Jay said nearly sounding skeptical

"Someone please knock sense into Jay!" Kai cried, however, Jay ignored his statement "Oh! what if we see aliens, or the space monsters, or those ce-" Anna getting worn out by this snapped back "Jay, we are in space, we have no idea where we are or how to get back. and the best you can do is to act like we visit space every month!" Jay did a cat wheel "Well, this wasn't my idea, so I'm just trying to make the best of it",

Anna sighed, then Lloyd said "We have to find a way to take control of the ship. If they get the Golden Weapons back to the Overlord, Ninjago doesn't stand much of a chance." Kai accidentally bumps into him causing him to crash into Anna, because she is next to him "Whoa!", "Ouch!"

Kai rubbed his head "But there's no access to the rest of the ship. The only way out is through the same airlock we came in" Zane glances out the window "And if my memory banks serve correctly, space has a way of taking one's breath away, in the negative sense."

"Haha! It rythmes" Jay pointed out and earned a glare from everyone "What?" he shrugged "Just wanna get used to this Zero-gravity experience", 

Anna helped Lloyd back to his feet, and he quickly grabbed her arm as a stabilizer, 

Zane floated to a computer "Enjoy it while you can, Jay, because, in five minutes, the entire ship is scheduled to lighten up. The supplemental boosters are set to detach" 

Kai tilted his head, confused "Uh, I'm a ninja, not an astronaut. What does that mean?" He asked

"The portion of the ship we are currently stationed on will soon detach and we will be abandoned in space with it," Zane explained

Anna moved her head to see the Garmadon, Nya, Pixal, and Wu "Hello? Kai? Anyone? Can you read me?" Nya asked sounding desperate

Anna let go of Lloyd and tried to float over there, but the moment she let go of Lloyd, he went out of control, so she grabbed him and made their way to the computer, it wasn't easy though

"We read you loud and clear," Kai answered, Anna could hear cheering on the other side of the call,

"Good to hear from you. We're going to get you home safe. P.I.X.A.L. was able to find the blueprints for the rocket. You need to escape the cargo hold before it's too late. Near the front of the ship is an A2 storage compartment. Inside are emergency spacesuits." Wu explained

Anna, drifting from above then said " We can't get the spacesuits unless we go outside. The problem is, we can't go outside without the spacesuits." Cole nodded "Any other suggestions?"

A screwdriver came in Lloyd's face and he had to let go of Anna's hand to push it away, But in the process, he was pushed away too "W-whoa!" However, Anna didn't notice it.

Garmadon turns to whisper to Wu and covers his microphone. "They are completely out of their element. Even if they get through this, what chance do we have of getting them home?"
