Snap
The twig snapped in two halves, a sound erupting between the point of impact and the forest itself.
The sound of footsteps running across the moss covered forest floor, soon they tread on grassy lands the forest seemed never ending birds chirping and herds of deer were running along the forest. The sun was blazing as beautifully as gold underneath the light, the clouds running past the skies like a pack of wolves. The darkness echoed through the forest despite the bright skies, rays of sunlight rarely peaked through the thick roof at the top of the woods.
Running.
Running.
Always Running.
I carefully tread on the forest floor.
Listening, Waiting, Watching, Running.
I halt at the doors, I have reached a complete stop.
I take a deep breath in, I've been running so much I lacked oxygen in my lungs.
I gently pushed the door open with my hands, The door pushed open creaking as it turned at an angle.
"Time to get to work.." Looking upon the desk, a mess of clutter and
faded broken edges of what was once a man.
