"YN, you can't disrespect your father." Your father yelled at you but your eyes welled up at his tone. He never raised his voice on you and he never forced you for anything but then why now?

You were happily enjoying your life like a normal girl. After your lil brother died, your mom got traumatised and soon died but your dad always stayed by your side. He's a well known politician but he never forced you to enter into politics.

You were an artist and you enjoyed doing what you were doing but suddenly he wanted to pass his legacy to you which you denied but he wasn't ready to listen.

"I don't like politics, dad." You pleaded, looking at him with teary eyes. He sighed and nodded. "Okay! As you wish, tonight is a party and all families are invited. So, you have to come with me. If your mom would be here I wouldn't have asked you." He said and walked away.

You felt your heart ache at the thought of your mom. You always felt her absence and no one could fill the void in your heart but you never thought what your father was going through without his lover. He supported you in every stage of life.

And now you think you should be a good daughter. You sobbed when you realised how much he did for you and you felt guilty for arguing with him. You wiped your tears and went to your room.

[Time skip]

You were getting ready for the party. You wore black off shoulder sleeveless dress which reached above your knees, making you look more beautiful. You put on some light makeup and curl your hair and leave them open with some sparkling bobby pins on the side as a show off.

Putting on the matching black heels, you walked downstairs to see your dad already waiting for you. "Dad?" You called him softly and smiled at him as soon as he noticed you. He smiled back and kissed your forehead lightly.

"You looked beautiful, Princess." He complimented you. "You are looking handsome too, dad." You said with a wide smile and followed your dad to the car.

"YN! Remember don't take anything from any stranger or random people. Just talk and walk away. And most importantly, don't be too frank with the Kim family. They are our rivals, our opposition party."

He said seriously, making you gulp but you eventually nodded your head. Soon you both reached there and you took a deep breath before walking out and holding your dad's arms. The camera started flashing around you, making you startled and your grip tightened.

"Don't panic." He whispered in your ear and bodyguards surrounded you both and safely dropped you to the gate of the venue. As soon as you both entered, all the eyes turned towards you and most of them were a couple but mostly were men.

"Hello! Good evening, Mr. Shin." The man in his late 40s came to greet your father with a smile. "Good evening, Mr. Kim." Your father shook hands with him as a smile plastered on his face.

"Is she your daughter?" He asked as his eyes fell on you. Your father nodded with a fake smile and soon he left you alone to meet another politician. You were wandering around but a deep voice interrupted you.

You turned around and met with the most handsome man you had ever seen. He was wearing a black suit with white shirt underneath it. The glasses made him look more handsome. You didn't realise you were staring at him for so long.

He cleared his throat, snapping you back to reality. You looked away and bit your lips. "So... You are Mr. Shin's daughter?" He asked, sitting beside you on the chair. You slightly nodded and sipped your drink.

"I am Kim Taehyung. I am sure your father has warned you not to get close to any of us. Right?" He asked while raising his eyebrows. You narrowed your eyes on him but then ignored his question. He chuckled, still staring at you.

"I must say you are very beautiful. No wonder why your dad hid you." His remarks made you choke. "Excuse me? He didn't hid me. I just don't like politics." You confessed honestly and he nodded.

"Oh! Well it's better. I don't like it too but being an only child I have to accept it." He said with a sigh and for a second you felt pity for him. "That's sad. My dad also wanted me into this politics but I refused." You said with a small smile, thinking how understanding your dad is.

"You are lucky. I wanted to be an artist but couldn't. Still, I like to do it in my free time." He said with a chuckle and your eyes widened. "You also like art?" You asked in a shocked tone as you thought people find it boring and time wasting.

"Why? You also like art?" He asked with a teasing smile, making you blush. "Umm, yeah. Not to brag but I am an artist. Have you ever heard about Scarlett?" You asked nervously and his eyes widened.

"How do you know? Her art is actually amazing. Her art vibes match with Leonardo da vinci." He said in an excited tone, making you bit your lips. "Because he is my favourite." You said with a smile and his eyes widened again, getting excited.

"You are Scarlett?" Some people looked at you and your cheeks turned red. "YAH, why are you shouting?" You scolded him and hit his arms playfully. "Sorry princess." He chuckled but realised what he called you and his cheeks turned pink.

After the wonderful event and meeting with him. You were in the car with your dad, going back home. "I heard you had a great time with Kim Taehyung." Your dad asked, looking at you with strict eyes. You nodded a little.

"I hope you haven't said anything personal." He asked again to make sure you haven't spilled any secrets. "No dad. Don't worry, we just chat casually. No family involved." You said with a small smile. He nodded and patted your head.

"But be careful. He is engaged already. I don't want your name to get linked with him." You didn't know why but your heart clenched hearing he was engaged. He was sweet and a pure gentleman but you quickly shook your head, trying not to think about him.

And just like that the whole ride was silent. You went to your room as soon as you entered the house. Your dad sighed and went to his room too. You read a few articles on him and his fiance as you couldn't stop yourself. She was beautiful.

You laid on the bed and looked at the number you just exchanged with him. Your eyes welled with tears and you quickly got up. "He is no one." You said and went to the bathroom to change and did your night routine.

Meanwhile Taehyung was laying on his bed, thinking about you. Suddenly his phone rang, he looked at the caller ID and rolled his eyes but still picked up the call. "Kim Taehyung? What the hell am I seeing?" The feminine voice roared from the other side.

"What do you want, Areum?" He asked in a cold tone, making her scoff. "I just read a news article about you and that Shin Jungin's daughter. What the fck were you doing with her and also smiling at her?" She complained like a little kid and he rolled his eyes again.

"If you called me for this shit then I am out and it's none of your business with whom I meet and for whom I smile." He said coldly and hang up the call before she could say anything.

"She is getting on my nerves. I hope I can break this engagement and her bones. The audacity she has after spending time with different men. I don't even care about her." He mumbled and sighed sadly. He wished he could be a normal person like you.

Just the thought of you made him smile. He looked at his phone and stared at your number with a wide smile. "I wish this rivalry wasn't between us, we could be normal." He mumbled again and closed his eyes, hoping to meet you again soon.
