My heart is heavy, filled with fear
As I tell her what I hold dear
Somebody wants me, she's scared, she says
And I can see the worry in her gaze

'What are you afraid of?' I ask, concerned
She answers softly, my heart starts to burn
'Of losing you,' she says with a tear
And suddenly, her words sound so sincere

My heart melts, at the thought of her pain
I promise her, nobody will take me away
From her, my love, my everything
I'll never leave, that's what I sing

But then she says, with a heavy sigh
That she must go, for work, she can't deny
And I can't shake off this feeling of doubt
Is she hiding something, I can't figure it out

I know it's not easy, this love we share
But if she's keeping secrets, it's just not fair
I would rather know, than live in the dark
Even if it means, she'll break my heart

But my love for her, it knows no bounds
I'd rather see her happy, than wear a frown
So I'll pretend, I didn't notice a thing
And I'll wait for her, to tell me everything

I know it may seem, weak and pathetic
To let someone hurt me, it sounds so tragic
But my love for her, is my guiding light
And if she's happy, everything feels right

I'll take whatever comes, just to see her smile
Even if it means, my heart will be on trial
For all I ever want, is to make her glad
With or without me, her happiness should never be sad

So I'll hold onto her, with all my might
And I'll keep loving her, with all my might
For she's the one, who makes my life complete
And even if she hurts me, my love will never deplete.
