Chap 1

Mk watched from the shore as a battle took place on the lake before her. Damien and Julia, in a kayak, jousting sticks, equipped with soft padding, in hand. Julia and Damien fought rhythmically, Julia lunging forward as Damien Moved back before colliding their jousting sticks and pushing her back to the edge of the boat.

Mk watched in awe, her body aching from the myriad of cuts and bruises running down it. Challenge 6 of Total Drama Island, and she'd had to fight a fucking bear. It was her fault for expecting better from Chris, but at the moment, she couldn't care less about the pounding headache forming between her temples, she just wanted to watch Julia win this challenge.

Julia had already beaten Wayne in her last round, and Damien had beat Zee. Two other contestants were battling it out on another Kayak beside them, Bowie and Axel, but frankly, Mk couldn't care less about who won between them.

She continued to admire Julia as she dodged another swing from Damien's stick, using it as an opportunity to leap forward. The foam padding smacked right into his face and he was launched backwards, but caught himself on the edge. He picked himself back up and lunged at Julia, who swivelled to the side and watched as he thumped to the floor beside her, almost throwing himself overboard in the process. She grinned and let out an inaudible laugh as Damien picked himself back up and lifted his stick high to smash it down on Julia's head. Julia raised her stick to stop it and they clashed together sending a crash across the shore.

Mk watched as Damien Leaned in closer, whispering something in Julia's ear. Julia's face dropped and her muscles relaxed, giving Damien the chance to smack her in the stomach, shooting her off the edge of the boat and into the cold salty water below.

"Yes!!" He yelped, holding his jousting stick up as Julia swam back up to the surface of the water, coughing as she went. she flipped Damien off before making her way back to the shore, wet hair falling over her grey eyes which were filled with disgust and fury.

Mk watched in disappointment before wandering down to the edge of the shore and reaching out a hand for a soaking Julia, who crawled on all fours to the sand, to grab.

"That Prick. you deserved the win more than him" Mk snorted, waiting for Julia to take her hand so she could pull her up to her feet. Julia looked up at Mk, opening her mouth to say something as tears threatened to spill, but she caught herself and smacked the hand away.

"I don't need your fucking sympathy Mk" she muttered, pushing herself up into a standing position. Mk searched Julia's face for humour, but quickly brushed the comment off as just another one of Julia's stupid jokes, despite the serious expression etched on her face.

"wanna head up to the bathrooms and shower or wanna watch Bowie get his ass beat next round" Mk smirked.

"you never get the fucking message Mk. leave me alone, i don't like you" she snapped before turning away from her and storming off, leaving Mk's jaw hanging open.

was she being serious?, Mk wondered. What the fuck had she done to her.

"Fine fuck you too i guess!.." Mk shouted at Julia's turned back, her voice trailing off as a sob threatened to slip out. She brushed it off as Julia just having a bad day, but nonetheless a swirling pit of anxiety rose in her stomach as she turned back to the water in time to see Damien launch his jousting stick at Bowie and smack him right in the face, throwing him overboard.

Usually seeing Bowie get hurt would put a smirk on Mk's face, but her mind was rushing with thoughts. has she done something to make Julia mad? Had someone said something to her? and most importantly, why was Mk so upset? it was just some stupid girl she barely knew. they were only in an alliance, they weren't friends.

Mk dropped her head while the other contestants shouted congratulations at Damien, and shuffled off towards her cabin, hands stuffed deep in her pockets, the headache beginning to rise in her temples again.
