I wish I have super powers! I wish I had been able to read his mind and has stopped him from talking even before he started to open his mouth! That dumb man just almost got me killed by my own parents! I'm just too lucky Carlo made an excuse.

"I fetch her after she called me that she's got a terrible headache. I drove her to her private Doctor to keep her from the prying eyes of the paparazzi. I just didn't tell you anything a while ago since June asked me to keep it all from you. She doesn't want to get you worried since she's fine already." He said in a calm convincing voice.

That was what I liked among lawyers like him. They make themselves sound honest when in fact they were but telling a lie.

I felt relieved when my Dad seemed to accept Carlo's reasoning but then Mom still gave me a you-need-to-explain-latter look.

They left me and my visitor alone and went to eat at the dinning room. They just let a maid send us some refreshments.

"You got a very good set of parents! They're just as normal as mine!" He said sounding really weird. Why, what does he think? That I don't have a normal family?! Idiot!

"Oh, don't get me wrong. I was just thinking that- you know, celebs usually got this (signed quote up in the air) some kind of pretense on TV. They even sometimes poses fraud family members." He said grinning. Alright, he's got some point there.

"Well, I'm sorry to disappoint you but I grew up in a 'normal', usual set of family." I said coldly while keeping my arms crossed.

"Oh, what I actually mean is that I admire you and your family." He said again now in an apologetic tone.

I am now suppressing a smile. It's just good I've been trained on how to act differently from what I really felt. Now, I'm being grateful for being an actress/singer/composer. Hahah!

"You know Mark, life can only be lived once. So why would someone want to live a life full of lies when you know you can never take it all back again?" I said in a matter of fact tone.

"Wow! I didn't know you'd be this intellectual too! I thought artists like you only says what the directors or the writers have told you to say so!" He said in a real astonishment.

"Now, Mark, I think that was an exaggeration." I still managed to control my laughter.

He grinned. I know, he's just trying to flatter me. But he seems not that affected with my flat tone.

"Are you really that way, June? I mean, don't you at least feel flattered?"

"No. Flattery in the industry I work is accompanied with hidden mockery and insult." That was true.

"OH!" He exclaimed, sending me an apologetic look once again.

"Stop looking at me like that!" I said aloud. Why? I don't know either, I just felt something cold rushing inside my stomach and sending shivers right to my veins that causes my heart to pump wildly!
