It's been about a month since Jinx has been meeting with a topsider and I've noticed some changes in her demeanor. The biggest change that I've noticed is that she seems calmer,more steady when she's not on a job. As if she's finally put the past behind her.

While her being calm is significantly better for her as well as our work I can't help but worry. Many topsiders have ulterior motives and dark secrets.Not even one of them would associate themselves with Jinx willingly.

There was on knock on my office door.

"Enter"

Sevika walked through the door and sat on the chair in front of my desk. She was holding some files as well as what looked to be photos. Good.

"I've done some digging about the piltie she's been meeting with" she states, sliding the folder towards me.
(𝚜𝚘𝚛𝚛𝚢 𝙺𝚒𝚗𝚐𝚜𝚝𝚘𝚗, 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚠𝚎𝚛𝚎 𝚠𝚛𝚘𝚗𝚐 ... 𝚖𝚊𝚢𝚋𝚎)

"Y/N L/N. 19 years old. Parents absent. Lives alone. Was enrolled in the Enforcers Academy at age 15 and passed every exam with flying colors" Sevika said.

That all seems to line up with her file. Except her current occupation.

"The file doesn't say her occupation" I said sternly. Was her job a some secret.

"Bartender. I've seen her walk to a bar called Trox on the Rocks every few days" Sevika continues.

I flip the file and there are multiple photos of what I assume is this Y/N girl. There's multiple of her in an alleyway, knocking people out with a bat. Some of her speaking with that blue haired enforcer as well as Marcus. There are a few of her in abandoned places just drawing,reading or painting something. There's a few with her and Jinx just talking on rooftops or in an abandoned park.

"From what I've seen so far she lives a pretty basic life. Definitely different from other topsiders" Sevika explains.

"Hmm.Thank you,you may go"

The Next Day
3PM

There was another song like knock at my door, it could only be Jinx as this is usually the time she says she's leaving.

"You may enter Jinx"

"Hey Dad,I'm going topside.I'll be back in a few hours." She says while wearing another stolen jacket from that topsider.

"Wait"

Jinx stops halfway out the door and turns back towards me with her eyebrows raised.

"What's up dad?" She asked cautiously.

"I'd like you to bring your topside friend here" I say calmly.

The look on her face mirrored caution but clearly was a mask for her fear.
"Dad..."

"Don't worry Jinx, I won't harm her"
I say,folding my hands over the desk.

"Just bring her here"
