SIDHARTH POV

I was looking for a house in rent, for the UK, on a website. We are leaving for the UK, after two weeks from now. So, we definitely need a house there to stay. All I'm hoping for is that, everything goes smoothly these last two weeks. I don't want any drama right now. For, that I am not even going to Delhi to meet my family with Sana. I will go alone and meet them once before eaving this fucking country, for forever. Nothing is good in this country, at least for us.

"Okay. Bye, Dad,"

I heard her tensed voice from my side. I looked up at her to read her expression. She looked tense. Something serious must have happened at her father's house. Maybe, it's related to her mother? That's what I'm guessing, right now. After all, it's almost over a week, that she is dead. For the world, she is missing or gone somewhere. Again, I'm guessing.

"What was he saying?" I asked,

She looked at me and gave a weak smile, but said nothing. I am both confused and concerned right now. Something is bothering her, but she is not ready to share it with me. Why?

"What happened? What did he say, Sana?" I asked, again, pulling her near me; keeping my own phone away on the nightstand.

She shakes her head sideways, denying that nothing has happened. But I don't believe her.

"Sana? Tell me, please?"

"Everything is fine. By far." She said, quietly.

By far? What does that even mean? I don't understand?

"What do you mean? By, by far?" I asked.

"It means nothing Sidharth. Dad invited us over, for dinner tonight."

"Oh!" I am a little surprised, with the dinner plan. "Sudden dinner plan?"

"Yeah. It's very weird. His dinner invitation surprised me, that's it." She responded in a flat tone, then looked down to use her phone.

Does she thinks, I'm a fucking fool sitting here? I don't understand nothing? It's definitely not the dinner thing. It's something else, which is bothering her.

She was happy and cheerful before she talked with her father. He definitely said something to her, which made her upset and tensed, both.

I gasped her shoulder with one hand, and grabbed her chin with another, and pulled up her face to meet her eyes with mine. To seek truth and honesty from her. I know, if she is hiding something from me, that means it will either hurt me or make me worried. She is doing this to protect me. But, how can I let her deal with things on her own. She is my other half. My soulmate.
